Just for those that haven't heard the story behind the sacking, he hasn't been sacked for Sunday's comments, its because he's said something offensive to a female presenter before christmas (which has msyteriously come to light today).

There is much more to it than a few comments about the lineswoman on Saturday.

He was on report and a short leash from the earlier incident. He must have thought he was fireproof but like most bullies everybody has something on him. Just watch the stories pour out now.

On a more serious note (seriously) Robbie Savage would do a great job.

I cant see ESPN letting Savage go when he calls a time on playing he will there main man. Cant take to seeing and hearing fat Sam and RedKnapp all the time I hope they get in a decent replacement. It cant be hard can it to find someone who knows there stuff about football.

The fact is, sexism is discrimination just as homophobic slander or racist slurs are. Fact. Imagine if it had've been, for example, Uriah Rennie? Would that have been 'acceptable' no. If it was a comment about an openly gay footballer? Would it have been 'acceptable' no. The fact is that in the workplace, talking to a former colleague about someone like that is unacceptable and I back Sky 100% on their decision.

some can't just like some men! The point is you shouldn't generalise. there are some very good female drivers and there are some poor refs/linesmen...even Gray and Keys couldn't always agree whether somthing was offside or not and at times they would debate on this on the 'final word' prog after the weekend games

To be fair, it's the top story on Sky News. He clearly doesn't have many friends there, although there is more than a hint of brand rescuing going on.
