I think it was probably the worst referee performance I’ve ever seen. It’s not the reason for the defat though, that’s on Pep. Foden gave us pace and energy and looked our best chance of getting a winner. The problem was Pep left it far too late which is beyond confusing.

Perhaps he thought 87 min with minimum of at least 15 min added on was enough time.
I don't agree by tge way.
Everton with the weather turned it into a scrap which made it a leveller, and ref couldn't control it.

Then walked off at an angle so it took him longer to get off the pitch! Do they realise how much of a knobhead it makes them look these players?!

Why go along the base of a triangle when you can walk along the hypotenuse, knowing the game has a ref who is simply the weekend's definition of abdication.

Win, lose or draw, I shake my head at the abysmal quality of refereeing and turn up hoping for one who applies the LotG as they are written, along with every international decision, and for the next 90 odd minutes I cannot believe that we have someone who is worse than the whistling wanker we had last time.

Today didn't scrape the barrel - it was mining a yard beneath the barrel.

There's always been shit refs from Kirkpatrick to Grey to Courtney and on and on and on.

The difference now is there shouldn't be any hiding place as every game has 20 cameras and is live but, what we see with our eyes isn't what's reported.

Yeah, shit reffing runs in the family. The NHS can provide a cure but the fucking waiting list is so long that it gives the Rags time to nick another title.

Just about the only thing about the game that brings an ounce of New Year's cheer. But five points dropped in two successive home games against teams that we should have buried is not just disappointing, it dings once or twice on an alarm bell!
