Andy Madley performance

There are a few refs who allow lower table teams to kick us without punishment. You can see it's their way of 'evening it up'.
The crowd would go ballistic at OT or Anfield so the refs wouldn't do it.
Just see what happens tonight if Brentford try the same tactics at the dippers.
We have a quick comparison this weekend, Everton at the swamp.

Don't know who is the wanker in the black but IF they try the same tactics I'll bet someones cashout on the Haaland bet that they'll not get away with it there.

Stinks, and that's not just the swamp.

I knew it was gonna be a bad day when some Chinese guy stood outside West Reception wearing a United shirt with Beckham on the back and carrying two City store bags.

He was completely oblivious and I said to a couple of coppers could they not do him for incitement?

They asked why, and I said because someone is going to give him a right slap.

The referee just reminded me further why I am falling out of love with attending with each passing season.

He was horrific and the long delay for the linesman to get his fucking technology working summed it all up.
The worst bit about it all was listening to talk sport on the way home and Ohara was saying the ref had a good game and taking the puss out of the fans who said otherwise

Well according to Dermot Gallagher Madley reffed the game brilliantly
And here lies the problem. He probably did to an adjudicator, but this is an entertainment business where people are charged £50,£60 a time.
What we saw the week before was a great game against Liverpool, same against Chelsea in Carabao Cup.
Why? because they let it flow.
Had Godfrey been booked in the first 20 secs then they would've gone about it in a different way. Had he not stopped the game for none head injuries they would've changed their tactics. BUT he allowed them that and Gallagher and co will spout shit and support their colleague.

What sums up refereeing in this country was was Taylor's performance at Anfield in October. He let the game flow, ignoring little challenges knowing that VAR would see it differently if one led to a goal.
What was the result? Foden's goal was disallowed because of Haaland's challenge. A challenge Taylor ignored, and had let go all game, BUT the VAR official deemed it a foul when he watched it 20 times in slow motion.
Taylor was lauded for a great performance but the key moment was reffed in a different way to the rest of the game

wtf just realised its madley tonight - how does he get a top of the table clash after that performance at weekend. and he’s now lost control dishing out cards just like he did on saturday

I think I saw one of the most inept three minutes of refereeing I’ve ever seen outside the Champions League yesterday when Onana went down ‘injured’ on the edge of his own box…

Madley stopped the game for no reason - it wasn’t a head injury, he wasn’t even injured for fuck’s sake! He waved on the Everton physios and while he was fannying about stood by Onana and his fake injury, Everton wanted to make a sub for a different player.

Madley just stood there looking at Onana while he could have got the Everton sub sorted out.

Onana got up and while he was walking off, still not off the pitch, Madley finally let Everton make the substitution then turned round to speak to Pickford who ran off and started fake geeing up each of his Everton teammates by running up to them and shouting some unintelligible Mackem ADHD bollocks… meanwhile the Everton player being substituted was refusing to leave the pitch and Madley was still stood with the ball in his hands where Onana had been down ‘injured’ doing absolutely fuck all about any of this going on in front of him.

After the little **** had finally got off the pitch and the sub came on, another Everton player went back to get the drop-ball from Madley but Pickford started screaming that he wanted the drop-ball so the ref picked the ball up again to do that for him.

Meanwhile Onana ran back on the pitch without being waved back on by Madley.

All of Onana, Pickford and the kid they substituted and Lampard should have been booked for that shit.

That referee should be demoted for a month just for that incident alone.

11 minutes added on was a fucking disgrace. For me, it should have been about 15 minutes!
Perfectly put
So inept that you would have to suspect corruption

Both our game and this one he seemed to get in the way of the ball.

A very poor ref.

On a side note, I don’t get why we don’t highlight the time wasting and the consistency between PL and WC.

Now would be the time given the longer the game is, the better for the stronger team.

The only reason I can see not, is that we have a higher ball in play then most and maybe worried about others evening up and is not getting that much extra (however, I am not sure that would change).

I noticed this last night more than our game. He was constantly in the way when a ball was crossed across the pitch and you could see the players getting frustrated as he constantly blocked off passes with his positioning. The old saying about top refs being invisible to the game speaks volumes about this guy.

In the last two games he's had opportunity to make things extremely difficult for one side or the other (red cards) or to indeed award a penalty to either side - he hasn't,so we can rule out corruption and bias - he appears to be simply incompetent - which is something, at least.
