Andy Madley performance

Shit refereeing performance today. Would've been nice to know for us inside the stadium what was happening at 53/54 mins rather than waiting for 5 mins without a clue of what was going on. Our own performance cost us though ultimately

I had 9 cards or more at 22/1 I was actually surprised that it almost came in would have easily came in if the ref booked Everton for time wasting. To be fair he was inconsistent and lost control and Everton took advantage.

The lads dropped their intensity. Didn't help with that refereeing calamity, over 10 mins the players were stood about which loses all the momentum. Felt large parts of our support were passive as well today, outsung throughout by 3k Scousers is pretty embarrassing. I welcome the usual "fuck off" brigade, I'm used to it.

Impossible to be outsung by a team that only has 1 song mate.

I was less bothered by the timekeeping - it's a given. And I don't think he was the worst we have seen - that was Lahoz v Liverpool. But he was another in a long line of referees who allow the game to be ruined by allowing one team to commit numerous little fouls and punishing the team trying to win the game.

It was the way he allowed Everton to kick Haaland (in particular) without any punishment. In the incident that led to Haaland being booked - he had two of them hanging round his neck as he went for the header - clear penalty. Nothing done but when he goes in a touch too hard to make a tackle - immediate booking.

There was a later incident in the centre circle where No2 (who somehow had already been booked) came through the back of Haaland and in doing so stopped a breakaway - two reasons why it should have been a second booking - he then rolled around pretending to be hurt and miraculously the second yellow didn't appear.
