That was just cheating and the useless officials allowed it. It was also to enable him to get back into position quicker when waved back on (he walked off half way into their half from near the centre circle) which was fuckin instant btw.

Everton really took the mickey out of Madley yesterday, I'm afraid.

My favourite incident was when 3 Everton players all sat down at the same time with 'injuries' ... then after a few moments, two of them realised that they'd overplayed their hand and 3 simultaneous injuries in different parts of the pitch looked suspicious, so those two jumped back up & walked quickly away (absolutely fine now, of course) ... leaving one to keep groaning on his back.

All the while, Pickford was roaming around out of his area waving his arms to get the ref's attention & stop the game.

Laughable.

Madley lost control of the match. He was made to look a fool by the Everton players who were the worst English side I have ever seen in terms of cheating by feigning injury and wasting time from the first minute to the last. This is an ugly side of football which has started to take over in the PL. It's not sour grapes because Evertom deserved their point after their wonder goal but referees have got to get a grip on cheating. Bernardo deserved his card for diving as well.

Probably trying to rub salt in but Howard Webb has just announced a clamp down on the games time wasters, you couldn’t make it up. As Pep always says, we’ll do it on our own. I hope yesterday has given the players a kick up the ass, and made them realise we are in a title race with Arsenal, we need to stop obsessing with the scousers (unless we draw them in CL) and throw the kitchen sink at em. Now is the time for Pep to stop fannying around and produce a settled line up, our strongest eleven

Unfortunately ‘neutrals’ won’t be neutral, they’ll revel in City being on the receiving end of some shithouse refereeing and so Madley, PGMOL and Everton will walk away without the scrutiny their performances deserve. Forget it’s us and look at it objectively … it’s so fucking frightening that it really cannot be attributed solely to incompetence (which would be serious enough). It’s game management from the officials and that should scare the shit out of every football fan because you don’t know when it will be your team on the receiving end. Everton came with a game plan and that was to prevent City building up any sort of momentum by constantly breaking play up, wasting time and premeditated shithousery. That’s where, for the good of the game and out of respect for the 50,000 paying fans, the referee needs to do his job and stop it happening. It was bloody obvious from minute 1 what was going on so Madley should have been all over it and nipped it in the bud.

I would surprised if a player in the Premier League indulging in blatant time wasting has been sent off be it via a second yellow card. So it’s hard to combat sadly.

What was annoying is that the ref yesterday did absolutely nothing about it.

I'll struggling to get my head round something.........Better nutrition, fitness knowledge, better pitches, more substitutions allowed and yet more players suffering from cramp. Funnily enough it only seems to happen to inferior teams against better opposition. Note : Never happens against Dippers or red bastards as stamped out early on.

Yeah true prob trying to keep cool , fans seem to get more worked up about this than players our players would prob do the same if the boot was on the other foot Everton only really started to waste the majority of time when it was 1-1 , unfortuately its gamesmanship Everton did there job got an unlikely point, which could keep them up., we lost 2 in the fight to win the league ,ifs and buts but if that header had gone in rather hitting the post , we would have won that game, thats football, time to move on and try snd beat Chelsea.

I am sure that at one point Everton were awarded a free kick, which was taken and the ref whistled again after a delay to signal the free kick to be taken as he hadn't seen the kick had already been played. John Stones stopped dead at the whistle and didn't have a clue what was going on. The ref just let play go on.
Totally inept.

The lads dropped their intensity. Didn't help with that refereeing calamity, over 10 mins the players were stood about which loses all the momentum. Felt large parts of our support were passive as well today, outsung throughout by 3k Scousers is pretty embarrassing. I welcome the usual "fuck off" brigade, I'm used to it.

Heard an Everton fan on the radio coming home saying great performance, etc,etc. I totally get that but making out how good they are....well, do me a favour. They are where they are for a reason. That reason is that they are shite and without that compliant arsehole with the whistle yesterday they get battered. Enjoy the championship.

For everyone saying 'we played badly yesterday', you are right, we did. However... You have to look at the reasons why we were poor.

If you look back at the game from minute 1 you can clearly see the disparity in the the referees actions in applying the LoTG. As a player that 100% affects decision making on the field. Haaland knew it was deliberate, Mahrez knew he'd been fouled for the non-penalty, Kev knew he was getting FA from the ref all game long, etc. But not only does it affect our players, it also affects the opposition players positively in that they know they can put an extra bit of 'snap' into their challenges, waste time with impunity, or dive and feign injury.

Madley (and Mason) were the reason we didn't smash those shithouse, anti-football wankers yesterday, 100%.

I think I saw one of the most inept three minutes of refereeing I’ve ever seen outside the Champions League yesterday when Onana went down ‘injured’ on the edge of his own box…

Madley stopped the game for no reason - it wasn’t a head injury, he wasn’t even injured for fuck’s sake! He waved on the Everton physios and while he was fannying about stood by Onana and his fake injury, Everton wanted to make a sub for a different player.

Madley just stood there looking at Onana while he could have got the Everton sub sorted out.

Onana got up and while he was walking off, still not off the pitch, Madley finally let Everton make the substitution then turned round to speak to Pickford who ran off and started fake geeing up each of his Everton teammates by running up to them and shouting some unintelligible Mackem ADHD bollocks… meanwhile the Everton player being substituted was refusing to leave the pitch and Madley was still stood with the ball in his hands where Onana had been down ‘injured’ doing absolutely fuck all about any of this going on in front of him.

After the little **** had finally got off the pitch and the sub came on, another Everton player went back to get the drop-ball from Madley but Pickford started screaming that he wanted the drop-ball so the ref picked the ball up again to do that for him.

Meanwhile Onana ran back on the pitch without being waved back on by Madley.

All of Onana, Pickford and the kid they substituted and Lampard should have been booked for that shit.

That referee should be demoted for a month just for that incident alone.

11 minutes added on was a fucking disgrace. For me, it should have been about 15 minutes!

Every time they had to make a decision, they took the directive off the ref ! What's the point ?

To spend 700m and play like they do beggars belief, I suppose it worked for them yesterday but it’s very hard to watch
