Andy May

Saw Andy May at Etihad in 2009 when I played in the charity match there - looked like Justin off CBBC now (but tubby, balding) ... my only memories of him in the side were Wham sun-in hair, slicing all his passes out of play when playing right back and getting booed for us losing at home to Leicester in 1986 when he made a couple of late cock ups. Anyone like him or is an over-highlighted, slicing, cocker-up with a look of a middle-aged kids TV presenter a fair summary?

The real question is did you play in game one and were you playing for the home or away team?

Not a bad player in the side that got promoted.Lack of pace probably held him back but he was good enough for a decent career in the lower leagues.

Decent player, not a world beater... probably would play for someone like Blackburn or Bolton if he were playing today. Great hair though!!

An okay player for where City were at the time who, like Brightwell, probably suffered a bit by being a utility man - centre half, right back, midfield. As someone else has mentioned, lack of pace hurt him, especially at the top level.
That said, he was a hardcore true blue. I'll never forget the 10-1 and what seemed like the whole ground willing him to score the penalty for Huddersfield.
Wonder what he's up to nowadays?
