Andy Rourke RIP

I've not met anyone who was there at the Ritz so nice one!
Was that your only Smiths gig?
Crazy thing is that is the only Smiths gig Andy wasn't on bass as Dale Hibbert played in the band then.
Andy joined a few weeks later and played from the 2nd gig onwards

With that kind of knowledge you should go on some kind of TV quiz!
 
I didn't think I'd give that much of a shit about Andy Rourke but I am very saddened by this. Can't stop listening to his ludicrously talented play on Barbarism Begins At Home, Well I Wonder, Rubber Ring, There Is A Light... etc.

It's occurred to me that he might be Manchester's best ever bass player.

If I feel like this about Andy Rourke, I reckon I'll need a couple of weeks of compassionate leave when Johnny Marr kicks the bucket, which hopefully won't be for a very, very long time.
