Anelka

Firstly as someone said the british media seem to know alot about the french comedy scene.

Secondly it doesn´t look like a nazi salute of any type I have seen before but maybe I live a sheltered life.

And thirdly people need to know the difference between anti-semitism and anti-zionism. Nasri and Anelka are both muslims and as such are probably not great fans of the Israeli state.
True; the British media probably don't know a lot about the French comedy scene. I would assume , though, that the French government do. And the French minister for sport Valerie Fourneyron has said; ''Anelka's gesture is a shocking provocation, disgusting. There's no place for antisemitism or incitement to hatred on the football field''. Unless she's wrong as well?

No I don´t. I have a deep dislike of Israel, the state. I imagine most arab´s dislike of Israel is much stronger than mine. They are therefore entitled to expresss that belief.

Hatred of Jewish people is an altogether dofferent kettle of fish and should be dealt with extremely strongly.

Which is it?

It's both in my opinion, as they are one and same.

Why do you have a deep dislike of the state ? and why is it ok for people to have a go at Israel or
Jewish people but not ok to call a teddy bear Mohammad for example?.

That is just so wrong it is laughable. There are many states I find repugnant but that does not mean I dislike the individuals that come from them. And I defend the right of people to mock religious figures as they wish. It´s fine by me to call a teddy bear whatever you want.

Which just proves you know nothing about Israel or Jewish people so let's leave it there.
The wider point here is that he (NA) should know better and deserves to be banned and/or prosecuted IMO.

Shearer should have been banned for "disguised Nazi salute" goal celebrations, Robbie Keane for "shoot the jews" goal celebrations, and Bale for his "Love Hitler" goal celebrations.

He was probably knackered after having to play a full game and did it to ensure he could have another few weeks off, to count his money.

That said, I think he was the best player I saw in a City shirt, pre takeover.

Wrong again. I have been there twice. My sister lived in Jersualem 8 years. I know all about the Balfour Declaration. I also know that the area of Palestine has been inhabited by a majority Arab population for 2000 years. Which is now being imprisoned in ovecrowded Gaza.

Please create a poll here , 'Is it OK to call a teddy bear Muhammad?' and let's find out what is the result.

As long as you don't make it eat pork, it's fine.

My little 'un has a green bear called Paddy, which I've told her is borderline rascist.

But she showed me it's bith certificate from The Bear Factory and it is indeed called Paddy, so I've let her off with a warning.
