I thought he could play both flanks ?

Didn't play on the left last season, according to WhoScored. Don't watch Roma that often, though, but maybe he changed position during some games? Have anyone seen him play on the left?

di maria plays on the right tho, lamella has a great left foot so he can play on tbe left

The main reason Lamela never plays on the left is Francesco Totti.

Either Di María or Lamela would be most welcome, although I'd prefer the latter.

At River Plate Lamela always played on the left, LM/LWF/SS

Di maria have played for the national squad on the right and on the left he can play both sides. When he plays on the left he is more like a wing he goes deeper next to the band, when he plays on the right he usually cut inside to assist or shot.
