Hat trick from left back? Fucking well done lad.
Was speaking to a guy at the academy the other day and he was saying that Angelino was 1 to look out for. Said that what he likes about him the most is that "if he gets kicked he will get back up and give them one right back" (in a sense of tackling them hard in the next challenge, not just getting up and kicking people!)
Haven't seen much of him myself unfortunately but will look out for him

Angelino ensured that there would be no mirror repeat of that by doubling his tally for the game and for the league season with an exceptional volley.
Pozo lifted his cross towards his compatriot at the far post and the ball had been in the air for what felt like an age, giving the full-back plenty of time to think about the finish.
It was testament to Angelino’s technical proficiency that the finished looked so calm – a roll into the far, bottom corner.
He moved to the left-wing when Adam Drury entered the game after this, his second goal, and went on to ensure a torrid final 30 minutes for the Leicester right-back, twisting him inside and out and getting in behind time and time again.
Only the inside of the post prevented him from making it a hat-trick on 55 minutes but he would only have to wait until the 73rd minute to claim the match ball.
Leicester were caught up the field and Angelino raced down the left wing, dribbling half the length of the pitch before drilling the ball past Smith into the corner – an almost carbon copy of Barker’s earlier strike

Interesting that he moved to left winger when Drury came on (I guess Barker was replaced?). I've only ever thought of him as an attacking left full back previously. Although given how the game is played now perhaps I should call him a left back and drop the "full" bit.

i think it's unfair to say he can't defend but I know what you mean. His strengths are much more his attacking abilities and to score a hat trick just underlines that. His other strengths for me are his desire and energy. He really does put everything into all games I have seen him play.
Whether he will remain and an attacking left back or more of a wide midfield or front man remains to be seen but he is a serious talent.
On the question of what full back can defend I would give you Pablo Maffeo.

Just seen the highlights of the Leicester game and you do have to question whether or not Angelino is a left winger and not a left back.
I think he is tenacious in a tackle but questionable positionally defensively, he is definitely great going forward but looks a little too last ditch defensively for me rather than composed.

Positioning is what comes with experience so this isn't much to worry about

To be fair today he looked verry good defensively and very intelligent going forward.

Approx one managerial change,numerous incomings/outgoings and probably one pre-season.
As the boys have alluded to above, he will probably be found lacking defensively at senior level but there is certainly a place for him in a more advanced role; Maffeo isn't as spectacular going forward but is far more defensively accomplished, Zabaleta-esque in everything he does and I genuinely see no reason for someone like Sagna to obstruct his integration beyond this season.

I will be astonished if Barker and Angelino are playing youth team football next season, both have got to a level now that will only be furthered by playing senior football.
