Angelino

I think the negatives are that as fans WE can see we need a new partner for Laporte, a dominant player, a player who is not only good already, potentially great, but can get better, and we are selling RB Leipzig a defender they want, for a fee, when we could give them money and get a player WE need for one THEY need and seem like we know what we are doing, instead of looking like the amateurs we are at this Transfer lark....a player Leipzig will lose next summer anyway (Upamecano) when Bayern or United come calling and pay his release fee, that kicks in next summer.
Ever considered that Upamecano doesn't want to join?

€20m isn't good enough, we're dreadful at selling. This, sending Harrison on loan again instead of selling, failing to offload any of our deadwood, selling Sane for less than we paid for him is all painting a striking picture
It is good enough when there is one team that wants him and we are in the middle of a 'recession' for all but the richest clubs.

Harrison, the same as Angelino. No one wants him other than Leeds, if they stay up and he proves he can play in the prem then we likely get 15-20m. Not bad for someone we paid nothing for.

Made a profit on Sane also!

A few others recently...
Ihenacho, 25m
Unal, 12m
Luiz, 15m
Diaz, 15m
Lopes, 10m
Gunn, 10m
Maffeo, 8m
Denayer, 5m
Rekik, 4m
Hart, 3m

We don't sell first team players so we don't have any 'Coutinho' money but then thats the price you pay for winning trophies.

Just look at transfermarkt. The entire Sane fee we paid was close to £47m, we've only banked 40m in the initial fee and up to 55m, but these are addons we don't have easy they are to achieve.
The initial fee Bayern are paying us is £44.7m. Very unlikely we don't end up making more than £47m on that deal.

I don't think Ake would be running up and down the wing whilst deployed as a LB. He will be in a similar role to what Walker plays for us whereby he stays back and tucks in. Cancelo will be the opposite fullback making the runs forward like Mendy does when he's on the left.

Hopefully.

I wasn't surprised when he was holding his hamstring.

The only thing I'd say is I, unlike many here, do think he'd be a good backup because Mendy's knees are made of glass, in that sense it seems a bit naive on City's part, but we already have Zinchenko, Cancelo, Laporte and Aké now who can fill in there. All makeshift/temporary options obviously but that's the only reason I imagine the club has not moved for a proper left back yet.

€20-25m is more than good enough if it's an obligation after loan.
Not every player can be sold for big money, especially not Angeliño. We couldn't do anything about Sané, injuries aren't something you can predict, £55m all in all is achievable, and for a player who's done his ACL, rather that fee than lose him on a free, got Aké and Torres within that money. Don't get how any of this is bad.

55m all in all isn't good enough imo. The injury could explain why the initial fee is low, but the overall fee should have nothing to do with the injury. If Sane turns out as good as we think he can be, the cap being 55m isn't close to good enough. The Hazard deal worth €160m and Sane going for almost €100m less, there has been something that has gone wrong.

Angelino went to Leipzig with an option to buy of 25m and after a brilliant campaign, is going for less than that in a market where teams are desperate for LBs.

You said we sold him for less than we paid for him. We bought him for 37m and sold him for 50m.
I cant see the problem.

That Hazard deal is such an insane overpay it's not even worth benchmarking against.

No one is paying more than 20m odd for Angeliño mate, no matter how good his short loan was.

As for Sané, again, we couldn't do much. Hazard was a regular and coming off a fantastic season, some people rated him as the best in world after Messi and Ronaldo, so them getting money for him despite a year left is fair. We would get a 100m + for Sané if he was going to a la Liga club and coming off an unreal season, but he barely played and was out of favour even before that, the season before. Whatever he may become now, be it best, isn't up to us or our concern.

You've made a mistake with Harrison. If he has a spectacular season in the PL, we only make 10m because of the option to buy for Leeds. We've essentially capped ourselves if he has a great season. We haven't made a profit on Sane yet; we have paid 46.5m for him as he triggered his addons which seems to be team related, We have only received 40.5m initially, it remains to be seen whether Sane will trigger all his addons at Bayern to make the deal a profit.

You've mentioned some good deals and some bad ones. Lopes for 10m wasn't great because his peak value was closer to 25m. Denayer and Rekik were sold too cheap; that will become evident once we see Napoli sign Denayer for far more than 5m. Iheanacho was the only deal that stood out but Leicester can probably sell him for close to 20m. Luiz' value is 20m but that was an entirely different situation with the work permit and inserted buy back clause
