Or we could use him as a part exchange with around that figure taking of the initial fee of a player! City a run fantastic there is always usually a method in there madness! For me it was a no brainer to buy him back for cover and to be assessed by Pep plus if not good enough get way more than the 6m we paid for him!

Whomever decided to buy him back obviously got it wrong but we'll make a few quid and that's ok i suppose.
Something about uprooting a player and then showing him the door a few months later, just to make a few quid( if that's what it was) doesn't sit well with me

He was going to leave PSV anyway I seem to remember, so it was then or never. So not really uprooted. It's obviously easier to asses him in the PL than th Dutch league. He doesn't take a squad place while he's with us.If he stays at Leipzig think everyone wins including Angelino.Surely we don't need to buy a player to be able to assess him ?

Also maybe we have more confidence in Mendy than we did last summer.

He a had a couple of decent games, but just isn’t good enough for our team imo. He lacks the defensive strength and size to make it here. He backed off and got beaten easily far too many times. I don’t think he’s impresssed enough and we probably won’t see him again in Blue.
Good luck on his loan, I hope it can be good for him and good business for us if they want him permanently.

I was hoping Angelino would help out with some of the less important league games to give the other two a valuable rest.So you don’t want The best manager in the world to asses a young player? Cancelo can play there but you can’t run club thinking what if Mendy and zinc gets injured we need to keep 3rd for option it’s plain daft.
