Angelino

I would only keep him as an option to play wingbacks without wingers
with 3 and the back
and as normal LB vs lesser sides
and only with Zin leaving.

He isn't the solid LB in a back 4 what we normally play.

Trouble is keeping would hamper is progress

Guellium blague said Angelino believes he will get more game time at city next year. I hope he is correct in this. If so then we have to sell Zinchenko. I wonder zinchenko will go anywhere. I prefer Angeliono though.

Happy to see angelino given more time.

Rather see mendy leave than
zinchenko though.

So is mendy tbf.
He will be fine. Recovering from ACL both knees isn't all too easy. He just needs more game, he'll overcome and be fine. Rather him than a player who's not even a left back to begin with.

You rate Mendy. I do not. You may think he will eventually come good. I'm not so certain he will. Perhaps you get chuckles from his antics. I do not. In any case, this isn't worth arguing over to me.

Mendy was great before he came and great before his injury after his injury he stopped getting forward but and looked slow but some of it could have been tactical because after a few weeks he was back to near his level he has made a few mistakes since then but he has been a basically back to his level in terms of pace crossing etc

Your talking about him coming good as if he is an 18 year old or a player coming to a new league or player who has not performed he has performed and is now performing again though not full at his level and is no kid

You're right he isn't a kid. As the body ages it recovers more slowly. And mentally you think if i push off on this bad leg what will happen? If I cut hard will my knee hold up? Kids don't think that way. They are "indestructible."

Kids also may be able to developing their footballing brain more than someone older who either has it or they don't.

Fight Mendy's corner all you want. I don't rate him like some do. If you do, that's fine. It is your prerogative.

I'm quite confident that Mendy will breakthrough next season. He obviously loves the team and he should have had enough time to rest and train during the hiatus and all.
