...and the owners only have themselves to blame! It seems clear to me that Hughes bought this team to play in HIS style i.e. fast, one touch counter attacking, now Mancini has the team he wants them to play his style which relys heavinly on actually being pass and keep possession.

However, it's quite obvious that a lot of the players in our team, especially the midfield, are not capable of doing this! Which means the owners will have to throw a lot more money at it in the summer to get Mancini's squad in!

This is the problem with sacking a manager every 5 minutes, it just delays progress! I wouldn't blame Mancini at all if we didn't get top 4 this year, after seeing our players actually try to play a bit of proper football in recent months i've only just realised how bad a lot them are!

....and to all the Mourinho bum boys who do you think assembled the Inter team? Yes, it was our very own Roberto Mancini! He got Cambiasso on a FREE and the likes of Maicon and Walter Samuel as well as a lot more!

oh dear, you watch them every week and you ve only just clocked how bad they are, been saying for ages now about half a dozen will be moved on

Well i always like to reserve judgement rather than make a decision then go back on it every 5 minutes! I've seen them enough now!

All Mancini really needs is a couple of midfielders who don't mind receiving the ball in tight areas, and who can pick a pass. The other areas of the pitch could all be improved on, but i don't think they need overhauled.

We have strikers who can score all sorts of goals, we have fast, skillfull wingers, we have decent athletic full backs (perhaps the second weakest area of the team), strong centre backs who can pass it a bit, and a solid keeper.

You are right in saying there will be player movement, and I believe there will be a clearout if Mancini stays or if Mourinho comes in, but Hughes is far from blameless in this.

Hughes bought De Jong, who is a holding midfielder and nothing else, he bought Barry and it looked to all intents and purposes he was going to play 433 with De Jong, Barry and Ireland in the middle. This looked good to me and many others.

The problem was he then went to 442 and we simply haven't got the central midfielders for that formation. Anyway, that's been discussed countless times before, but my last line on the matter is that Hughes did not buy sensibly for the style he ultimately ended up playing this season. He paid for that in the end.

In regard to your post, I've also come to the conclusion our midfielders aren't good enough but I wouldn't say that was a reason for Hughes staying. If he's bought poorly in midfield how can it be?

There won't be a mass clearout, a couple of fringe players will move on and that's it. We've got the nucleus of a very good squad.

I think a clear out is a bit harsh, in my opinon we are 3 players short really.

I reckon we need a young up and coming forward thinking FB, a rampaging top class RB and a deep laying play maker who can dicate tempo - perhaps a couple of squad players or bring some youth through.

I'm speculating but I can see the following being shown the door (either transfer or loan) in the summer:

Petrov, Hart (loan) , Garrido, Benjani, Caicdo, Jo, Veiria and perhaps Robinho.

I think the following will be given another year to prove their worth:

SWP, Onuoha, Toure, RSC, M.Johnson and Ireland.

I can pick a fair few players out of that team that mancini didnt buy, also until mourinho only 1 man brought the players and that was morrati.

But anyway yeah team is useless at possesion, that was blatently obvious, hughes went for the we will score one more than you school for this season but didnt figure how we would get it up there first, that why he is a pathetic wanker.

TW i really do hope we overhaul the squad and that mancini takes us forward, now agent hughes is gone we can move forward

Some of the fringe players will leave but we shouldnt have a mass clear out. We need to build on this year, not start all over again. I hope we we buy 2 or 3 top class players, but any more and we'll have the problems of integrating them in to a team all over again.

We need to develop a consistent style that the players are comfortable with.
