Like all things.

Though we don't legalise crack for that reason do we.

Amusing response considering drug prohibition created crack
Well let me know when you're done laughing.

And we'll say Heroine or Cocaine

Re: Another gun massacre in the States.

Whilst I don't believe gun access should be restricted, save for proven criminality, on libertarian grounds, I don't think a good case can be made for gun access leading to positive results. Whilst the same applies to drugs as well, emphatically I believe the case can be made, along with prostitution, that decriminalisation leads to positive results.

I am a libertarian but on this issue an apologetic one. I'm not with Damocles and ElanJo on this one who almost seem to get excited by the thought of everyone having a gun. I wouldn't say it's reluctantly that I accept open access to guns but it is with a heavy heart.

Re: Another gun massacre in the States.

I'm not anti-gun by any means, I'm just anti-assault weapon. I hunted as a kid and used a single-barrell shotgun and a rifle that probably held six or seven rounds. How people are allowed to buy guns that allow you to get off the amount of rounds this maniac did is a disgrace. I shot a .44 Magnum at our hunting camp a few years ago and it was kind of cool but I don't think I'd be missing anything if I'd never experienced it. If we banned handguns and assault weapons it would do a lot to fix this problem.

True, but in many cases the addiction becomes too much for them so they do whatever it takes obtain that crack. In this case, it appears this wacko's psychosis drove him to getting guns and opening up on innocent people.

I had stopped before I clicked submit. TBH, it was more a patronising smirk, perhaps bordering on a sly chuckle, than a genuine loling.

Thanks for clearing it up.

Skash- I'm a libertarian so long as decriminalisation does not infringe on the liberties of others. Unfortunately the yanks just keep proving that lack of gun control does indeed do that.

Indeed, Damo and I regularly shine our shafts together at the mere thought of it.
