Another new Brexit thread

I am surprised not to have seen discussed the 'reported collusion' between the Remainers that have been doing the drafting of the legislation and the EU.

Does this not strike others as being somewhat outrageous?

I quite like Emily Thornburys idea of negotiating the best deal possible before campaigning/voting against it and voting remain in a second referendum. This is a sensible compromise which has a bit of something for everyone, whatever their view.

"Boris to Paralyse the EU!"

I thought it was the other way round!

"He will refuse to appoint a new European Commissioner if he is forced to extend our membership beyond October 31.
This will mean they are not legally constituted because it must have 28 commissioners, one from each member state.
And if they try to reduce the number, Mr Johnson will use his power of veto to block it.
That will leave the EU unable to carry out any useful function and stop colluding with Remainer MPs to thwart the referendum result."
Sod it (him) then, parliament just to revoke.

Or pass a law saying the PM must appoint a Commissioner. Two counts of contempt.

It got filed alongside Brexit MEP’s and Tory MP’s lobbying Poland and their new best mate the anti-Semitic leader of Hungary to veto an extension.

Not that either country is going to do shit but reason and common sense has been dissolved in the acid bath that is Brexit.

And yet all of the above would have us believe that they are protecting either 'democracy' or 'the will of the people'. The point being missed here whichever side you are on is the role played by the EU in our domestic politics. This for me personally is enough to make me want to leave the EU as if it were a burning building - quickly and fully.
