Not ones you could repeat in pleasant company, I imagine ;)

I reckon, if you ignore the war, the Blair years were the most optimistic political time I can recall for the country .

but he has been one of the biggest remainers and not accepted the result at all since the campaign. To now turn round and say oh labour should have just accepted the result is such hypocrisy .

it must be something to do with sedgefield going tory.

He hasn't has he? If true that is perhaps the most hypocritical comment made by any politician, ever.
Maybe he's changed is mind like you did ? Aren't politicians allowed to decide in hondsight same as everyone else.
Edit although just gone and read what he said and he wasn't exactly saying that,

"Labour "pursued a path of almost comic indecision" over Brexit during the election and "alienated both sides of the debate", Tony Blair has said.

In a speech in London, the ex-PM said he believed the party could have kept much of the vote in traditional Labour areas under a different leadership.

The situation was "made impossible by failure to take a clear position and to stick to it", Mr Blair said.

"The result has brought shame on us. We let our country down," he added."

He said Labour should have accepted the result, put it on the Government to negotiate terms, then if Labour were not happy with it then go to the country. I don't think its a million miles away from what he has been saying - Brexit will either be pointless or painful and he feels/felt the the country should have had the final say

Regardless of that statement, his comments re the leadership were spot on

I suspect many South of the border see the so called 'precious' union between England and Scotland as similar to a separated wife who we continue to subsidise yet all we get back in return is endless moaning! Many yearn for that inevitable divorce. ;-)
England should have a referendum to leave the UK.

geezo the last dozen or so posts on here is some of the best bants this thread has seen!

Brexit really does bring so much joy to all.

I'm almost enjoying it.
Makes our lot look normal and competent, for the moment.
Won't last long though. Election coming here in the new year.

Hard to know what we'll end up with negotiating for us.
More of the same I suppose.

There. The moments gone.
