On the contrary I think people like you want that to be true so that you can further entrench your position on the “right” and “winning “ side. Don’t expect remainers to suddenly think Brexit is a good idea. Most of us are just waiting for it to unfold now and hoping that it isn’t a disaster
Ehem, some caveats...

1) I'm not "on the right". I'm centrist/libertarian. So it's not my "position" at all.
2) You can continue to say what you like about brexit, naturally. But you can no longer do anything about it. So you have choices, don't you. Continue to bleat about how bad it's all going to be, comparing every local fruit store that closes down being "as a result of brexit", further isolating yourself from the common public who have voted in favour of this national policy twice now and generally be seen as the guy wearing "the end is nigh" billboard. Or, you can start thinking proactively; we're in this position, how can we best go about things to ensure the doom sentiments you bleat about don't materialise as your foresight has warned.

Something tells me you're in the "i'm not going to do anything proactive, because then i'll be helping make brexit a success, and we don't want that..." camp.

That's why you continue to old the position you do; you want brexit to fail, you need brexit to fail. Otherwise there's a possibility you may have been wrong on this issue, and anything (or in this case the least) you do to affect brexit being a successful venture, the better it helps you and your cronies.

extremism exist at both extremes. I'm wary of anyone that claims it's only the other side that has extreme views.

A strange stance if you don’t mind me saying. It is the government’s responsibility now to negotiate the best deal on behalf of the uk and our right to hold them to account should they fail to do so. We might differ in our views as to what represents the best deal but unqualified support for “the uk” as though it’s a football team is nonsense and irrelevant. It’s out of our hands and the negotiating team doesn’t need cheerleaders
I actually agree with all that

You seem - in that post at least - to be adopting an appropriate attitude with regard to the government needing to deliver on its responsibilities and being held to account

Others, I suggest, are not doing so and are only seeking to run down the country and hope for bad news to be the result of Brexit - now that is indeed the behaviour of people that treat the health of the UK akin to the support of a football team

I used to always hope for the scum to lose when they played in the European Cup/Champions League - fuck this 'they are representing the UK/England crap' - they are the fucking scum and could only ever wish ill on them.

That is how some of the residual Remainers view Brexit IMO. The point I make is that it is the health of our nation they should be supporting and stop being gratuitously negative towards the UK - which continues to be their modus operandi - again IMO

How exactly could my support manifest itself?
Accepting this is the position we're in and doing what you can to ensure the doom policies you fear don't materialise.

Or you can continue to sit there, sulking, doing nothing, pointing out every minor bump along the way, exaggerating the issue to be something "catastrophic" and reciting your new mantra of "oh if only we hadn't left the EU...!"

But you do what you like, the rest of us will be working together and face the challenges as they arrive.

We currently hold stock in the UK as well as delivering large orders directly from Germany. The only difference if we have no deal and trade on WTO terms is that we will need a bonded warehouse so we have one lined up as a contingency.

I am not anti European but merely anti EU.
The result of the decades of increasing EU influence across the European nations beyond being a trading bloc is that so many people have started to be unable to distinguish between the 2

HA! Fat chance of that.

They all now are on TeamEU; they want the country to fail, ironically are willng for job losses, all so they can say they were right all along and then beg to rejoin the EU. It always makes me chuckle when I see them lying about "caring about people losing their jobs". They need mass job losses to happen otherwise they can no longer present the idea of brexit as a failed endeavour.
Correct - you make the point I have been seeking to make more clearly - some need to stop this hankering after bad news for the UK

We will in the future have benefitted simply from not being part of the EU project that will eventually fail - but in the meantime there is much to be done to secure the best outcomes for an independent UK. As we are all - whether some like it or not - part of that newly independent UK we should all be hoping for its success rather than hoping for failures

FFS fellas - the die is cast now - we are leaving - time to start supportimg the UK in negotiations rather than the EU
Again what is it with this cult mentality that all decisions must be supported as if it will somehow make the negations go better with the EU? I really don't get it, it feels very RAWK. Whatever gets posted on bluemoon doesn't affect the political course of this country, not one jot.

If the UK government are potentially engaging in a course that will damage the prosperity of the UK, expect it to be called out by people rather than us all coming together holding hands and singing kumbaya.

So what are you acheiving by posting on a football forum your protestations about brexit?

Is this some sort of therapy for you?

Honestly? Absolutely nothing. I enjoy seeing other people's ideas and being informed outside of my usual circle and having discussions with people but that's it.

I know for a fact that when I post an opinion it doesn't affect change at all. These posts of "get behind Boris and the lads" like it's a football team are absurd because they make no difference.

You think when the EU are negotiating they're going to think "oh well Metal Biker and aguerrrrooooo are getting behind Boris, perhaps we should be a bit more lenient" Of course not, it's nonsensical.

But you just said you enjoy seeing other people's ideas outside of your usual circle.

Now you've stated that such opinions are "nonsensical" Which is it.

I just don't see the logic in continuing to hold onto a "hope that brexit will be stopped", type posting practice as many are still doing. It adds nothing to the debate besides an outdated whinge.

The idea that bluemoon affects any actual political discourse between our government and the EU is nonsensical and you know it.

I could pledge my full support to Boris and become a Tory for life on here and it wouldn't affect any of the negotiations between ourselves and the EU.

Yeah, right.

Nothing you have said in three years displays that sentiment whatsoever.

As usual you and those that liked this post are full of shit.

I have posted this before, I would genuinely be delighted and very relieved to be wrong.

Unlike you and your childish pals I don't want to be right because if I am there is a world of pain ahead for the people in this country.

I won't respond further.

Never said it was.

The idea that whining about stopping brexit on a football forum has any effect on the opposing viewpoint now is equally as nonsensical.

So why do some continue to do it?

Yes you will. You can't help yourself.

No-one from this "side of the fence" believes you when you state you don't want brexit to be a failure, you know.
You need it to be, otherwise there's no justification for rejoining the EU, which is ultimately what you want.

Because they're voicing their opinion, much the way you do in support of brexit.

That's all this place really is, a place to voice your opinion and discuss with others, let's not pretend it's anything more than that.
