Good to hear these things are being scenario-tested

But - WTF - Mid-December 2020!!!

I and others were saying 4 years ago that the No-Deal planning should have been a priority - but we had the hapless May in charge

FFS Remainers have been displeased with the UK government competence since 2016 - Leavers have a lot more reason to be pissed off IMO

Anyway, at least it looks like we are going to get a genuine Brexit after all - which was way beyond my expectations 4 years ago and certainly 2 years ago

So - HNY ahead - even if there are a few months of inconveniences.

A few months of inconveniences? I fail to see why. I’m expecting everyone to prosper mightily as we don our cork hats and call our women ‘Sheila‘.

I hate to break it to you, but there will be a deal. No major economy doesn’t have a deal with its neighbours. Whether there is a deal this year or the next there will be a deal. It won’t be a great deal and there where will be lots of inconveniences for many months to come while we endeavour to negotiate back what we had, because again, that’s just the way the world works.

The whole of the first paragraph
I've had another read, and it seems you are confusing things you think are not true and things you just don't like? The way he wrote it certainly assumes (incorrectly) that Miller acted with devious motivation, but the description of what she did seems fair. Maybe a case of unintended consequences on her part, which maybe explains my initial question re her apparent silence now.

I do still read most of your posts, but the need to put and refer to remainers and leavers in every single post really does detract from any points you’re trying to make. There hasn’t been just two groups since the referendum result. It then split into various groups as soon as it got past the binary yes or no to the what people want the future relationship to be.

There’ll be some people that voted leave that will be very happy with the way the last four years have gone in their totality. Not only did they get the referendum result they wanted, they got the government they wanted to deliver the form of brexit they were after. There’ll be others that voted leave that will see it as not the form of brexit they wanted at all. Ditto with people that voted remain, not all of those want to see us wind back the clock but instead honour the referendum but in a way they perceive to be far less damaging than the brexit others are advocating.

Hats off to you for that.

Even the boffins of Bletchley Park have largely abandoned trying to decipher his posts, but fair play for sticking with it.

Here are your posts from the universal credit thread.

The first link you posted shows people with poverty being turned away, the middle obviously about a government admin error and the latter about how difficult it is on UC and the minimum wage.

Where’s the consistency, are they fair game if they voted leave?

Yes, and because the poster is a bellend. Yes, it’s harsh, but those are the rules.

So just to recount from another thread and this one.

People who don’t agree with you are fair cop for:

- taking the piss out of their mental health

- taking the piss out of them not affording to go on holiday

There’s a real problem in politics with people being unable to accept others’ opinions, to the point where they want them removed, silenced or that they are willing to overstep the mark to attack them.

You’re a perfect example of that.

Short answer. Yes.

Long answer. Oh, yes, most definitely.

Although, to add some nuance, I operate a sliding scale. If I think the person or poster is an idiot, then the above applies. If the person or poster just says the occasional idiotic thing, then no.

Honestly, I think that is fair. It also saves time.

At least you’re honest, Bob.

The Guardian have posted some arial footage on youtube and a few hauliers are on there claiming it's like this every year in the run up to xmas - brexiteer plants no doubt.
Unlike you to minimise this as a potential result of Brexit but a quick scan of the comments finds one person identifies as a haulier who says "it's like this most days and with the run up to Xmas holidays it's nothing new" and then there's a few who don't identify themselves as anything at all who say it's always like this. Of course without knowing what their own bias in respect of Brexit is we can't know for sure how disingenuous they might be being.

Perhaps you have more thoroughly read the comments in your desperation to continue your own narrative that lorry queues due to Brexit is made up and will never happen or perhaps you are being a little disingenuous yourself.

Possibly, but possibly not. I did say the haulier was probably a plant. The rest of the comments are standard fayre from those still unhappy about 2016. Nothing of substance
