Now that we’ve established on the Johnson thread that for some people getting Brexit done takes precedence over having a competent government that would have a better chance of saving British citizens’ lives, the fanaticism is clear and obvious. Reasoned discussion is pointless.
Those inconvenient truths...………...

Just had a bit of a catch up with brexit news as tbh I've (like many I suppose) paid more attention to virus news recently. It does seem like the UK are being inflexible and wanting their cake and to eat it in terms of retaining benefits after leaving - I don't feel this is realistic. For their part the EU seem to be making demands which under normal circumstances you would only accept after losing a war. They too seem unbending and seem prepared to weaponise the status of ex pats which seems poor. If I can put aside my mad right wing racist little England mentality for just a moment, it does seem both sides need to cede ground for mutual benefit.
The process of negotiation - at least when you have not been deliberately encased into the role of supplicant by May/Robbins

If both sides except the sovereignty of the other then a deal is possible. But frankly I can't see the EU doing that in a billion years.

‘often’ is the biggest understatement I’ve ever seen.
It will only be used until either:

a) even though it has already been proven to be factual, further EU actions emphasise its veracity and/or

b) Remainers on here stop with their continued denial of what is a simple fact - which has already been proven to be true

TBH - I get bored of repeating it - it should not be necessary

Another strange post - that is clearly more of an attempt at distraction.....

You state that @Bill and myself held the view that:

".....getting Brexit done takes precedence over having a competent government that would have a better chance of saving British citizens’ lives..."

are you maintaining that?

If not - IMO, you should apologise - at least to @Bill.

Personally I couldn't give a shit (although I accept that you will probably use that to mis-represent what I have actually said)
Fucking hell.

You must have quoted and tagged me 15 times today based on one post. You have also tagged Bill even more in your pathetic attention seeking effort.

Not fucking interested you weirdo. Go and troll someone else.

If they'd it'll be late in the day. I suspect they have too much invested in a deal so bad that we have to rejoin and to serve as a deterrent to stop others escaping. Sadly that will probably lead to the 'no deal' that is no good to anyone.

Whilst I am not surprised....

This is still a strange post as - in my post that you reply to - I do not refer at all to:

"... *checks notes* a fisheries deal"

Perhaps you have just had a hard day looking for articles on Newsnow that are critical of Brexit - or is that @Ifwecouldjust....... ??? that does that? - it is getting harder to tell some posters apart

You replied to my post which was exclusively about *checks notes* the fisheries deal. I assume you didn’t read my post before replying with the usual word jumble.

And - your point is.....?

A fairly good read and well worth pointing out a document that reflects the UK starting to actually act as an independent nation and stop toadying to the EU diktats - so thanks for reminding us

My point is that I was replying to another poster who is labouring under the impression we are seeking a simple deal with the EU when the actual proposal we have tabled is not simple and is asking for a unique and special deal in certain areas, specifically tariffs, Services, Security and Data sharing.
