Another new Brexit thread

I’m sat in mine, and I’ve got this hunch that I’ll be able to after the 1st of January.
I'm back in the UK - but thinking of going back out in November because of this fucking weather. I have made an appointment to see the immigration authorities to explore taking up the offer of residency that I have.

Hopefully I am doing this not just to boil the piss of a couple of narrow thinking people ;-)

BUT BUT ... The Empire ... the Commonwealth .... great Britain .... controlling our borders (which the racist tories have tried to do since the 50's ) supplying weapons to countries that bomb the people that tories hate (all tories hate someone .. thats how they work)
Some of the posts of yours just seem - well weird - you OK?

This is the Brexit thread by the way

The weather here is glorious, and I’m not back until the end of October, and I’m not exactly looking forward to it.

Go back to 2016, are you actually say that nobody, at all, ever, has said we won’t be able to travel freely around Europe?
I don’t recall anyone saying we would be confined to the UK.
Why would anyone think that?

Residency rights in some countries will undoubtedly change though, and without a reciprocal health care agreement, many people would not want to risk living somewhere where they’re not guaranteed free treatment or treatment covered by insurance at a reasonable price.

The desperation is gradually moving from stop brexit to hoping for the worst possible outcome so as to form the basis of a rejoin campaign. Underneath all this is the resentment of 23 Jun 2016 not going their way.
It has been that way for a long time - but just see the reaction if you point out that they are always seeking to see outcomes that are bad for the UK and in favour of the EU

Inconvenient truths and all that.......

Nobody gives a fuck what you do.

You can be as hypocritical as you want and no one will give a shit.

As I, and others said 4 years ago, reciprocal agreements were in place before we joined this so called trading club. Why do you think they’ll be rescinded?

The British Parliament can pass laws that benefit Britain. The EU’s ECJ can’t, as it’s now irrelevant, I think they may be getting that message. The only people upset at this are remainers who are constantly saying how the world won’t trade with us, because they don’t like it.
To my knowledge, the world hasn’t expressed outrage at us making our own laws.

We are breaking International Law. Our position for best part of a century is that we do not break legally binding international commitments, our word is our bond and all that. It gives us a powerful voice when it comes to international relations.

Throwing that away over a confected row is dumb. It means other countries cannot trust us to keep our word when it comes to future agreements and that will come with a price.

Furthermore, the reason we are breaking International Law is because we signed an Agreement which we were too stupid to understand, just as we are too stupid to understand the future ramifications of breaking International Law.

Finally the IM Bill does not benefit Britain given three of the four nations that make up the United Kingdom have passed motions rejecting the IM bill and have warned it threatens the unity of ‘Britain’; so forgive if I again doubt your ‘loyalty’ to Britain or the United Kingdom given you actively promote actions that are not in its interests be they internationally or domestically.
