I’m not sure if the report has been properly read to be fair, that was specifically about CA/SCL, it doesn’t exonerate Russia of anything else, just whether they used their data. Even then, there was evidence of Russia based activity, that was passed to the NCA though as it is not in the remit of the ICO to investigate it.

I don’t think it really matters if they were successful in any influence anyway (as I still don’t know how that can be proven anyway), the main issue is they try in the first place and increasingly have the mechanisms to be successful in it. Separate discussion really, but not one that should be dismissed.

I can also argue that Leave won because it lied and committed itself to promises that it could never keep and those lies and false promises are there for all to see. Today, the Govt very kindly published 138 pages of new regulations and customs procedures which expose every one of those lies. Instead of a free trade zone where nothing will change, we now have internal custom barriers, an access border in Kent and enough new red tape to choke a horse, and that's with a deal.

It is also only the beginning.
