That's the only way I can see any kind of 'deal' happening.

If they just basically shit all over the Unionists & then bring back May's deal without the backstop.

But then the Moggs all have to vote it through, along with enough of the opposition.

I think therefore, that bringing back such a 'deal' would be a less than honest endeavour, just designed to show they 'tried' & give 'no deal' more credence.
We will have Mays deal back on the table suitably 'fluffed'.

Varadkar says no.

We say no.

We haven’t said no. May said no. Johnson not so much. A bit of a border on the Irish Sea and a bit of a border on land and a bit of NI having regulatory alignment with the EU/Dublin. And for the really tricky bits let’s address that in a year or so. Trust us.

Except they don’t. Irish trusting the good intentions of the Brits on a border in Ireland? No chance. And you think anyone in the EU is going to trust Johnson after the last few weeks? You think there is any mileage in trusting Johnson? Can’t even get Parliament recessed for the Tory Party conference.

My worry is that we are buggered no matter what

* Remain - Toxic angry leavers
* Soft brexit - Toxic angry leavers because that wasn't the brexit people voted for
* Hard brexit - Toxic angry remainers
* No deal - The fallout is horrendous and does irreversible damage to the country and nobody wins

It's Pandora's box and I don't see any positive outcome
In that scenario, a soft brexit contains the least amount of toxic angry people.

Access to the customs union then sort the back stop so we aren’t forever attached to the EU. How do Norway and Switzerland not have these issues with hard borders etc?
Common Market, yes. Custom Union, no.

They signed up to Schengen. Neither Ireland or the UK have. SO the border is both of our own doing in that sort of scenario.

This lists potential relationships outside the EU. As you can see we have red lines with all of them so it makes it nearly impossible to have a Norway style deal without dropping some of those deal breakers

Jess Phillips has had a man arrested outside her office for banging on her window.

She has also pleaded again for rhetoric to be toned down as violent talk can lead to attacks on MP's and she fears for her life.

Jess Phillips...

Labour MP Jess Phillips has spoken of her determination to see Labour win the 2020 general election, saying she would knife Jeremy Corbyn “in the front, not the back” if it looks like he is damaging the party’s chances of electoral success.

This was also widely reported...

It was widely reported in September that she told the shadow international development secretary, Diane Abbott, to “fuck off” when Phillips confronted the Labour leadership team about the lack of women in senior positions.

Like I said earlier, they all need to buck the fuck up....all of them!
Yeah, I heard her on LBC, she was quite contrite about some of the stuff she has said. Shit is getting real unfortunately. Johnson needs to wind his neck in big time though.

I'm between Norway and Switzerland, but would be happy to accept free movement as a compromise.
