For being wrong? Fraid not.

The EU is far more in favour of free trade than the US. I mean it runs a free trade bloc of 27 countries (plus others in its orbit) which should be a clue.
Just fattening up the non-founding states for the high table, Bob. No wonder they are getting edgy now their rations have been cut - not long before the cull.

Sadly, that seems where we are all heading. The primal competition for resources between rich and poor is already killing the planet and soon there'll be nothing much left to fight over and few to care.

it’s only a matter of time before London demands us Northern oinks go and fight for their pleasure for food and a decent rail line.

The spin and project fear continues. Robert Preston focussing on the bits of Johnson's speech that look as if he is downplaying workers rights and the environment while ignoring the bits the EU want that will clearly restrict our success outside the EU. The bias is so transparent Robert. Lol

No mention of today's Nissan report in tre FT then? It clearly doesn't suit Remainer objectives.

NISSAN are off mate - my neighbour works for a supplier of the Washington plant and they have all been saying this for about 18 months. No positives coming out of the plant and where he works - ie. in the UK is handily placed post Brexit but NISSAN are not offering any increased orders of components any time soon.

I was meaning on here

I could name several posters that are in the 'top few' in both the number of posts they make and how stridently anti-Brexit they are - who would be utterly obsessed Leave supporters if that guaranteed a hard-left government

theres no such thing as 'Hard left' ... there are only those that want the best for everyone ....

This thread will be full of Remainers talking bollox and Leavers countering their claims (or visa versa) till negotiations come to an end.
There will be a trade deal - Germany can't afford to lose it's second biggest non-EU market - and Germany now controls the EU.
As to what this deal will look like we will have to wait and see. Barnier and Johnson will compromise to some degree but Boris's red lines won't be crossed. Oh, and the only red lines we really know about are no regular payments to the EU and no long term involvement of the ECJ.

you should start your post with 'in my opinion' ....cos thats all it is ....

Nah. There will be a pause for 3 or 4 years, but the Wahington plant is the most efficient plant that Nissan has. With the EU-Japan deal, tariffs between the two will slowly come down and if there is no deal between the UK and EU Japan will export to the EU directly and replace its exports elsewhere to come from the UK. Any other option is financial stupidity.
