Sun more your style I would imagine. Or maybe the Express with you being part of the Brexit intelligentsia.

We don’t need newspapers when we’ve got James o brien on Twitter to enlighten us all

Don’t bother with the guardian or Financial Times either we just come on here and read the copy and paste jobs each day

The Times actually, but your probably perplexed at that because I am thick and racist, anyway where is my medal I can add to my chest full that took you by surprise, are you so important that you can issue one, can you tell me where I mount it? Maybe to the left of my GSM or right of my LSGC, your call ?

Here you go

You can print it and cut it out.

And it’s you’re not your.

Prick. I will just take the moral high ground, where as you have no respect for British soldiers or Veterans shame on you !
I knew that was coming. I have every respect for our armed forces, but I have absolutely no respect for a former squaddie that uses that fact to demand respect for something completely unrelated. Now fuck off and bother someone else.

Starmer is a seriously impressive individual imo, imagine where we’d have been as a country without Corbyn for 5 years.

Whatever the blame the Tories get, Labour deserve the same for being absolutely fucking useless at holding them to account.
As a keen Leave advocate I have said for months that - should there eventually be a no-deal outcome - Corbyn and the Remainers at Westminster will be recognised - when history is written - as bearing a lot of responsibility - a lot on here seem unable to understand the obvious logic

Prick, I called you out when you offered me a medal, then I called you out when I told you I already had a chest full and I have, I am not a former squaddie I am a veteran cunts like you cannot accept that and hate the fact we exist, I have been in many battles for this country and proud but cunts like you sat in a fucking Pub spouting your shit how you would sort it out, you have no fucking idea what it was like.... **** !!!

Rather than escalate this further I’ll leave you to it. Carry on posting responses to points not made and I’ll leave it to others to call you out on your shit because you seem to be far too easily triggered by a bit of innocent piss taking.

Nothing innocent about your faux respect for our armed forces, others will judge you for your apparent "Piss taking".

It was the first part that was important.
but as you felt the need to post the cheap comments in the 2nd part I decided to answer them

It also explained why I feel confident in discussing the reality of the use of PFI by successive UK governments - Tory and Labour - in a head to head with @Ifwecouldjust.......

Very much agree, but also why should we accept all the obligations of being in with none of the benefits of being out which is where the EU are pushing in some key areas? Hopefully a bit of movement from either side.
In this reply you are demonstrating your understanding of the ridiculous stance of the EU in key areas

That you have to explain such obvious stuff is the surprising and shocking point - it also demonstrates how some Remainers are indeed willing to accept bad outcomes for the UK if it helps them 'win' a discussion on a football forum

Why any UK citizen in the reality of the position of June 2020 would wish to see future UK governments - no matter Labour or Conservative - unable to determine key policies for the betterment of the UK economy and UK citizens is a deep mystery to me

We are seeing a glimpse of post Brexit U.K. in the response to the Covid crisis claims the FT.
Whilst I passionately hope we aren’t........

We have a Vote Leave Government who demonstrate their lack of competence on a daily basis.

What could go wrong ?

Given Brexit is complete nonsense in the first place my guess is everything but as you say we can but hope. It's all we have left.

Its madness that we are this far in and we still have no idea which way BJ will go, if he wants no deal he has to start now. Unless he wants no deal with no intention of implementing the required changes to ports / customs / tariffs etc. That would be chaos and open us up to all sorts of legal risks. So if he is not doing anything about no deal preparation and wont go for a chaotic no deal is it going to do a soft brexit / brino at the last minute? Well and truly boxed in a corner as options 1 or 2 are a car crash that he wont survive and option 3 would have Farage marching on No10 in his vintage barber with his shotgun out followed by a mob of 'football lads'.

Not really sure what the real substance was in that article.

Read like it had been cut and paste from this thread - from a @BobKowalski post

Maybe Bob works for the FT ?

Here is another pro-EU fluff article quoting a French minister......

https://www.politico.eu/article/eur...it-french-minister-amelie-de-montchalin-says/

I wonder if any Remainers are spotting the hypocrisy / irony of the statement......

“Those who need a deal the most are the British. They cannot withstand a second shock after the epidemic, they won’t have access to the safety net of Europe, or the recovery fund,” de Montchalin said, referring to the economic crisis the coronavirus epidemic is expected to cause. ????

I will pause before giving my comments on that gem

We can’t prepare for a no deal scenario now, it’s far too late and we don’t have the capacity to do it anyway. We are struggling to find a way out of lockdown safely let alone start no deal preparations. It’s why we keep pushing for some sort of resolution by the end of July so we at least know what we are up against. The E27 countries take an opposite view, that the negotiations will only really get going in Sept/Oct and it still requires the UK to shift on its redlines. The E27 have no intention of being pressured into an early resolution on a deal unless it’s to their liking.

The pressure on the UK in Sept/Oct to get a deal will be immense which is exactly what the E27 want. The complicating factor is the virus as no knows what shape anyone will be in later this year but looking at the shitshow we made over PPE, testing and now the track and trace app no one is betting the UK will be in a better shape.

What is possible is the UK signing a last minute deal to avoid fall out on 1st Jan and then spend the next decade desperately trying to avoid implementing all the stuff we don’t like or didn’t realise what it meant when we signed it. The Withdrawal Agreement is glimpse of that future. An agreement we heralded as a victory but in reality means we do not have unilateral control over a border within our own sovereign territory. The disconnect between reality and Brexiteer fantasies is staggering.
