Hey ho lets try and get back on topic again then - has to be repeated because there are those out there who still say this is fake news but I keep saying that the people that live near me and I know that work there or in the supply chain know that this is true and has been true for 4 years - No Deal = No NISSAN

People voted for Brexit the same reason they voted Trump in America, they’ve had enough of the status quo and sick to death of politicians everywhere. It’s not turned out too good in USA let’s see how it goes here.
Another similarity. Some people are keeping quiet for uncertain reasons.

Heseltine: “This government will be – and should be – held responsible for quite simply the worst peacetime decision of modern times. I know personally of members of the cabinet who believe this as firmly as I do. I cannot understand their silence.”

I really look forward to Johnson et al explaining the reality of No Deal in 17 days time - should be fun. Watching Mackems on SKY News right now saying losing NISSAN is a price worth paying.................................deluded beyond belief but at least they are about to get what they want.

I'm trawling through the net to see any positives to a no deal and I'm buggered if I can find one?

I think we’re going to end up with a bear bones deal which is the polar opposite of what we need.

I wonder will Johnson, JRM, Bridgen, French Mark and the rest be prepared to sit in the HoC on Xmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve?

You mock but it’s serious business.

I’m sick of these constant bear attacks!

Hey if you want wild bears eating your children and scaring away your salmon that’s your business. But I’m not going to take it! Who’s with me?

We’re here.! We’re queer.! We don’t want anymore bears.!

Nope, that's why I personally think the deadline for a deal was about 2 weeks ago.

Parliament isn’t needed because of the majority.

Johnson is at the brink of having to say no deal, but can’t quite manage to do it. He knows the ramifications of what it entails, but has to play out the facade of not ceding until he can’t do so any more.

If he had been serious about it, he’d have to have briefed businesses, surely?

maybe his “Fuck business“ quote was accurate though.

We’re in for a tough 2021, but maybe we’ll be able to hug our families come June.

Found this thread quite interesting. Suggests the two sides are perhaps not as far apart as many think.

If I was not sensitive to the way some posters get ever so disgruntled over the opinions that I have held for years. I might observe that comments in this thread such as:

"Absolutely agree. It often strikes me how little discussed it is that what‘s now being negotiated is far closer to the UK’s vision of the future relationship than to what many in the EU hoped for. The EU defined the terms of withdrawal phase but the UK has shaped the trade talks."

and from the Dutch PM:

"Dutch PM Mark Rutte also said the EU is 'everything but relaxed' about No Deal which would have an 'enormous impact'. He added that the EU is 'willing to compromise' on Level Playing Field and fish but 'there there is a limit' and 'the Brits know exactly where those limits are'."

to be evidence that the statement that "We will not see movement from the EU................"

But being sensitive I will resist

Are you genuinely asking that question? You think if they arrive they turn up at an asylum centre and they’re hoping to be caught?

I can’t even be arsed talking much more about this as it’s not an issue to me, the only reason I’m still going on is because of the ridiculousness of the arguments against the government enforcing the border.
You are talking to open border obsessives mate, it's an absolutely insane stance that thankfully, never gains credence with the public at large, and gets rightly trashed every time it's suggested. It's not adopted anywhere on earth,
for reasons that are obvious to those not yet completely off their trolley.

The United Kingdom has an open border between the home nations.
