Game management is a thing and it's all worth the reserves renting out the activity if it brings them additional revenue.

That said, IMO you'd have to have a screw or two loose to garner pleasure from killing such beautiful creatures

We introduced "green" hunts on our farm where by the hunt is still done and the animal instead of being shot is darted and the hunter can then have his/her photo taken with the animal and can say they enjoyed the experience.

Its down to choice but i can tell you this, never was an animal shot and killed that we didn't feel was the right decision based on the animal in question and its position in the herd and as i've said, mature bulls only at the very end of their natural dominance that through experience we knew would be dead soon after naturally.
