Anthony Taylor appointed ref for Chelsea

I know it's not a popular view, but some of the facts around penalties do suggest a slight difference. Since 10/11 we've been awarded 46 penalties and conceded 15. As a completely meaningless statistic, that puts us 31 in credit. Chelsea are on 23 (41/18), rags are on 16 (35/19), Liverpool on 13 (39/26), Spurs on 5 (29/24) and Arsenal on minus 2 (27/29). So, looking purely at penalties awarded for and against, it doesn't look like we suffer overly much.

I have posted these stats before. If you were an Arsenal fan who play a similar type of posession based football to ourselves you would no doubt feel pretty aggrieved by those stats. What is interesting they are one of the old sky four that th FA and refs are colluding to influence games for, according to this forum. Hardly doing a good job are they.

If refs are purposely trying to collude against us awarding us the most penalties is not the best tactic as along with sending offs these are the key decisions which influence football matches.

Apparently we should have had 8 penalties in the last three games, has that ever happened in the history of football?

On a side note I thought the ref was excellent yesterday.

I would agree with that but, on that basis, the Arsenal stat looks incredible.

They do look incredible especially to be a negative when you consider the posession they have and the type of technically gifted players they have in the midfield positions.

Is there a bias? No I dont think so. Football does throw up these anomalies.

Think I read somewhere that Taylor has a season ticket at Altrincham so he can't possibly be a rag. What I'd like to know is why does he have a season ticket when he's working elsewhere most Saturdays? Not seen any pictures of him at Alty games either. Stinks.

But when do we get the pens, TLWYS? We concede them at the most opportune moment for the opposition - The War of Sterling's Back or the Spurs match to give it's fixture name. All of a sudden Spurs are awarded the Christmas and Birthday gift in one. Don't know whether it was 'Arry's birthday or what, but a gratuitous pen that knocked the stuffing sideways, and from that point it was obvious that the swindling shite Crapps was never gonna ref according to the written laws of the game. When we get a pen? No dives as far as I can see and they were not particularly instrumental at delivering the three points. More often than not we had goals to spare.

The word 'smokescreen' comes to mind, JPAMCR! For the small price of an Alty ST he gets to ref Gtr. M/Cr games, the chance to take the big derbies, hone his craft(!) with his paymasters watching, wheedle his piss-poor performances into a CupFinal gig, and then achieve his lifetime ambition of screwing us over like he did v CFC.

How many of those were decisive / last minute / game changing awards? When it would really make a difference, it seems we are denied - e.g. Stones / Everton and Leicester away last season plus Liverpool's title deciding game at anfield. Haven't gone through them all, so may be wrong, but I imagine a lot of them were awarded during comfortable wins.

Watched MOTD this morning. Taylor looked like a star-struck fan at the end shaking hands with the big nose Swede.

Did they show the tell-tale stain in his shorts ?

Surprised he didn't swap shirts with the Swedish Ego - a pair of complete cnuts together .

Wenger was quoted in the aftermath of his team's defeat, claiming both our goals as being offside. It isn't the first time he's whinged about a result, of course, but he then went on to talk generally about the poor quality of refereeing in this country and on this last point we can all(?) agree, but now I can't wait for his tirade the next time he has Taylor refereeing his team, especially if the result has a direct connection with the rags own status.
