Anthony Taylor appointed ref for Chelsea

You know, just after I posted that I did think that the answer would be to have foreign refs (preferably who have never met the English refs and therefore don't have any personal reason to want to back their decisions up) to do the technology bit in the stands. Regardless of whether we believe there is an agenda specifically against City or not, it always strikes me that Webb is incredibly reluctant to point out that any English ref has got a decision wrong. I assume it's because they are all in it together, as it were. He's much more honest when he reviews decisions of the foreign refs on a European night IMO.

Webb is going to be mates with most of them ....why not get a foreign ref to do Webbs job in the studio ??

Remember Webb saying that although Navas was fouled in the box against Everton the ref was right not to give a pen as he went down to theatrically.

He'd be the type that would be reviewing video replays which is why, despite being in favour of it for years I hope they don't get brought in.

Someone posted it up last night but its got lost in all the furore but had kevin smashed it in instead of hitting the bar, the linesman had incorrectly flagged it up as offside despite him being a yard on so they would have chalked that off as well pmsl.

Its just not funny anymore!

He pointed for a goal kick. He did not put his flag up for offside.

Haven't watched back all off the game yet but Gary Chuckle thought Oto's booking was a poor challenge. Looked perfectly good to me.

So are you saying Taylor is being told to stop us winning, as other refs are?

You explain 7 big decisions in a game all going one teams way, you explain a referee putting the whistle to his mouth and then changing his mind, you explain a referee giving a decision that cameras have proven didn't happen.

Taylor and Clattenburg are proven cheats, whether its 1 incident or not the evidence is as clear as day.

Just watched and he doesn't flag offside, he just runs to corner and signals goal kick

Fair enough mate.

I didnt see it at the time and was just repeating what someone posted up last night which was obviously wrong.

Don't miss him too much. He was on bt yesterday saying that Taylor had a good game and got everything right. Twat
Webb was very good at doing what he was told. He didn't get to the top because he was a great ref but because he could be relied on to do the bidding of Sky & the PL. That's why Moss will be our "top" ref in a few years.

I have gone from wanting blood after the game. 24 hours on and I feel like I have just had my dog put down.

I'm still absolutely furious over that refereeing performance.

More needs to be made of this!

Yesterday's performance from Taylor was as bad as Clattenburg's in the Merseyside derby in 2007. In that game, two Everton players got red cards, a Liverpool player wasn't sent off for the sort of foul Aguero was red carded for yesterday and he turned down a blatant penalty. And Everton wouldn't accept Clattenburg as ref for six years after that. I hope City tell the PL/PGMOL that Taylor will not be reffing our games ever again. But if Mike Riley had any sense, Taylor wouldn't be reffing Manchester teams anyway.
