Any golfers out there?

Never had a hole in one - although I holed out from the tee box after hitting my first drive into the woods. So it was a 3. I still had to buy drinks for everyone in the club house. I play off an 18.

I'm playing Oak Hill in about 2 weeks - home of the PGA, US Open and Ryder Cup. I'll be buying extra balls to take. At the end of September, I'm coming over from the States to London for business, and driving up to Manchester to watch the West Ham game. I'm hoping to play golf there then, and am grateful to some blue mooners for suggesting some good courses to play.

Great hill country course, and the occasional rattlesnake amongst the deer and coyotes.

I like Dunham Forest in Altrincham ... google it for details? You might also want to head over to Southport and play at Royal Birkdale ... my Aunt is a member there so I get an annual invite, and it's brilliant to play on a course that has hosted the British Open.

Never get to play much these days (2 young kids and City! dominate my spare time) but have played plenty over the years and closest I've come to a hole in one was about 3 foot away from the pin, afraid to say!

I got one on the 3rd at Hartcommon in Westhoughton. Danced all the way down the fairway and my mate stole my thunder by taking my ball out and throwing it at me. To say I was pissed off with him is a major understatement. I was only 15 and haven't come close in the 8 years since it happened.

I played Fairfield in Droylsden last week , went round in 85 which I was really pleased with seeing there was a few dodgy greens !!! I took 3 shots in a bunker too , Golf must be the most frustrating sport to play , one bad hole and it ruins your whole day ! How do I get an Officiel Handicapp ? I love Walton Hall near Stockton Heath , it's a lovely course .

i was a ft or two short but bang in line on the 18th at abersoch GC, 2yrs ago. Thank god it was short as it was open week and the clubhouse was absolutely jam packed!!

Im a member at Fairfield,when the course renovation is complete it will be a course to be reckoned with, over £2.5M spent on it already!

normally to get a handicap you have to hand 3 cards in to your handicap committee. Not sure how you would get one if youre not a club member.

Aah Nefyn! We have a trip playing there & Abersoch every year, going next month - good course but that par 3 tee on the cliff gives me the willies cos I don't like heights! Virtually did a Happy Gilmore so I could get off there quick - if the wind's blowing hard next time I'll happily take a blob, get the piss ripped and march on.

Currently play off 18. I play at Brookdale Golf Club in Woodhouses regularly, and I also play Heaton Park and Altrincham often.
Best course I have played is Lytham St Annes. Also played Hale, Mere, Heald Green and many many others.

I have got one Hole in One to date, on the Par 3 course at Castle Hawk. I think it was 8th. Worst shot I ever hit. Topped it, rolled 150+ yards left to right rolled down the green and dropped in. I was on the floor in stitches.

That is Nefyn course if not mistaken (God I'm sad!") that is one tough round of golf, let us know how you do!
