Anybody recommend a telescope that won’t cost a planet?

Yeah, the moon mate.I actually took the photos with my mobile through the eyepiece.....hardest thing in the world to do.
Can attach a camera to the back of the telescope,so I'm gonna get one.

I do want a decent scope myself but we live a mile or 2 south of Trafford Park. and Kellogg's truck park lights up the sky in a major way so have far too much light pollution to make it worth my while yet.

For those interested ( I've not been yet ) there is a Heaton Park Astronomy group. they have regular get togethers,

Has anyone been able to see any of the other planets? They are supposed to be visible or at least some should be at sunset over the next week or so.

I've seen all of them, although at times, some can be very difficult to see.
I use this to find out what is best to see and at what times.

I also use an app called Sky Walk 2......this app alerts you and tells you what is what, where and when...planets,Andromeda,meteor showers,etc.......meteor showers are insane to see by the way.
Objects can be difficult to find depending on the telescope.
Mines a decent one,so once I have aligned it,I can go into the menus and choose from over 100k objects, press a button, and it moves itself.
