Anybody seen a ghost or had a paranormal experience?

About 42 years ago in school (Sharston, French lesson, Mr Barlow) I was put on the second to last row from the back (apparently I was being a knobhead and disrupting the class),so, nobody alongside me, nobody behind me.

About 10 minutes into the lesson, I felt 3 really hard, sharp pokes into my shoulder blade, that hard they actually jolted me, (you know the type, when teachers used to poke you in the chest) for a brief moment, I thought it must have been one of my mates behind me or something, but then suddenly, I realised that there wasn’t anyone behind me, so I then shot up, looking under the tables, throwing the desks and chairs over, then running towards the door of the class shouting WTF etc and trying to say what had happened.

Of course, ‘Billy fuckin Bendover’ Mr Barlow refused to believe me shouting all sorts and sent me to the head office for ‘The Strap’, went there, tried to profess my innocence but to no avail and got strapped (and detention).

Ever since then, I’ve always thought of Ghosts and suchlike as shit stirring little twats and I’ve no time for them.

My dad was an RE teacher there around that time. He would have exorcised it.
 
The nurses and staff at Salford Royal Hospital (the old one on Chapel Street, next to the Crescent) noticed strange sights & noises or felt a chill in the air after a nurse hanged herself in a supply cupboard on the third floor. For years they hated going in there alone and always left the lights on.

I’ve never been as terrified as after my father died and with sleep deprivation and sleeping downstairs on a camp bed in the front room and other mitigating circumstances, I had the most real nightmare that I seemingly couldn’t wake up from. It kept recurring.
I was literally climbing the walls and pinned against the ceiling.

I was woken up in a bnb in Ennis on the eve of an American holiday. I heard noises in the room and woke but couldn t speak and seen a misty visual being in front of me by the bedside. It then disappeared and re-emerged from the headboard to vanish again. A minute later I could move and speak.

I need therapy for the dreams and nighmares I ve had.
Spent my 6-8 yr old......being gordged by Freddie on the ceiling regulary. Being choked and tortured in my sleep was regular. But I nearly always failed to remember them when I woke up.
 
Oh, yeah, can't move for all those dinosaur and caveman ghosts round our way. Or the people claiming to be Cleopatra or Alexander the Great in a previous life. I guess we all must have had a go at some point, right? I'm Brian of Nazareth, and so is my wife...

I suppose some nano particles that make up a part of me might have been part of some great person in the past. Or a rock. Or your mum.

What are the rules exactly? Does everyone get to be a ghost? Just those who are tormented? Just those who are tormented, had unresolved business and wore odd socks?

Sorry but it's all bollocks and there isn't a single piece of evidence I have ever seen that makes me question that, and I'd very much welcome it if it did pop up somewhere. And this is from someone published in fortean times who has spent many a year looking at supposed cryptid, UFO and ghost evidence.

Worst bit of it all though are those charlatans claiming to be in contact with the deceased, taking money and tormenting the living with blatant lies. Psychic Sally is prime among those who is like to see atone for their crimes.
