Anyone any advice for things to do in Cornwall?

We stay at st Agnes, lovely unspoilt town with a gorgeous surfing beach. Trebarwith Strand is one of our favourite places, near to Tintagel, lovely pub overlooking the bay and dramatic crashing waves as the tide comes in. Stayed at Port Isaac a few years ago, lovely quaint place and you will recognise lots of Doc Martin locations. Love Cornwall, hope you have a great time.

Avoid Lands End, it is a dump, just a few rocks and a monstrosity of a concrete shopping centre...used to be a nice place thirty years ago, however a visit to the Minack outdoor theatre five miles away
is a must.

Also Google St Michael's mount, lovely, but watch the tide times.

St Michaels Mount and Minack are well worth a visit.

If you're near Lands end you're better going to Sennon Cove.
However my favourite place, anywhere, is Kynance Cove near The Lizard. Just check the tides as at high tide there's not much beach but at low tide a second beach with a backdrop of stacks, caves and tunnels is revealed. Stunning place and kids love it.

Explore villages and coves, take the coast park and ride train into St Ives, drink Cornish ales and cider, eat pasties, ice creams and cream teas, go crabbing in Padstow, take boat ride up the creeks from Falmouth harbour. Enjoy. Wish I was going there now.

And yes drive down early and leave in the evening.

Good thread this.

I go down myself next Saturday, never been down before taking Mrs Gaz, 11 and 5 year old mini Gaz's were staying in Hayle so anything interesting to do round there with the nippers is much appreciated.
