Anyone been to Buenos Aires?

Just watching a few youtube clips of Liam Gallagher live in Buenos Aires before Christmas and thought would maybe like to go and see a big name there along with the rest of the sights

am at the stage now where I'm free to travel and never been to S America (spending the kids inheritance) ;)

I haven't been but always fancied it after seeing a video of ACDC live at the River Plate Stadium, the crowd were just wild, biggest mosh pit I've ever seen, just about the entire pitch. Go for it mate, no time like the present, as long as it's warm.

I was there for a while 20 years or so ago. It's a great city, though like London it's very spread out and covers a huge area.

I've been to South America a few times, and in many respects it's the most interesting place to visit because apart from the few well known bits, everything else is a pleasant and wonderful surprise. It's not a continernt we hear much about in the UK. It's a forgotten place in that regard, so everything is a bit of an intriguing adventure.

It's a long flight, something like 14 hours from London if my my memory serves me well, but the people, as they are everywhere on Earth, are friendly, the food, especially the beef and Lamb, is world class, and I have nothing but fond memories of my time there.

I'd have no qualms about going back there whatsoever, and if you can take in the Boca v River Plate game which I was invited to while I was there, well, that's an experience in itself that justifies the flight.

Get yourself down there, because it's a fantastic part of the world.

Went there in 2006. Combined it with a trip to Washington DC which was our stopover.

Loved it. Classy place. Never had a steak like it before it since. Took omin a game. Saw Juan Sebastian Veron get sent off! People are great too. Would definitely recommend.

Yes been a few times, spent time in Patagonia and the Lake District as well.

Go for it! Chile is also great, maybe even better.
