Anyone experienced Shingles

Just been vaccinated for shingles, 2 jabs a month apart, free for old cunts like me.
I just had the first Jab on Thursday. Nurse told me that the 2nd is in SIX months, not one month. My arm feels like I’ve been shot!

Had it about 6 months ago. Still got faint marks on my back where it was and still get some itching.
It was bloody awful and painful

That was just my back. It went around under my armpit to the front as well
Same here

That is strange my doctor and the pharmacist confirmed that it had to be maximum two months apart, I would look into that if I were you.

The wife had the jab a few weeks ago - knocked her for 6 for about 4 / 5 days and lots of pain in the arm she had the jab in. She wants me to get it but her experience has put me off!
I think her reaction is pretty rare most people I've met say they just get a little bit of a sore arm for a day.
The disease sounds feckin awful I'll do whatever not to catch that.

Well learn something new every day, I never knew you were married someone said you were gay. :)

Will do. I was given Varicella Voster vaccine for Shingles. I wonder if it’s a different period depending on the vaccine?

I'm not gay, I just help them out when they're busy

All I know is I was told the vaccinations had to be no less than four weeks but no more than two months apart. The pharmacist confirmed this.
Maybe you should ask a pharmacist.

Arrived from no where
Went to GP and got Meds
Bloody hell it's Painful or Annoying from time to time
Lumpy ,itchy the lot, on my Left Hand Side
That sounds like chicken pox to me. You can get it in later life you know. These old nanny rules aren't quite 100% accurate.

Got them in 2019 after breaking my ribs. Shingles are very painful, wouldn't wish it on anyone, left me with scares on the lefthand side of my back. My back is still numb to this day with the nerve damage .
It was grim. I went to the docs and told him we were going to Centerparcs 3 days later and asked if would be ok going in the pool. He said “you won’t be going to Centerparcs at all”

He was right!

Shingles is a reoccurrence of chicken pox. Chickenpox ( herpes Zoster ) stays dormant in the nerves and can reoccur later.

You cannot get shingles if you have not had chickenpox.

My Dad had it on his face/head and it really messed him up. It caused decades long Trigeminal neuralgia that open skull surgery to fix. My Nan had it and it messed her back up too.

A mates son has had it twice in the last year. Only 18 years old, thankfully no long term damage for him.

I have had measles. Even though I had all immunisation. 2 weeks of not being able to move.
