Anyone good at algebra?

it's just like regular multiplication
You just need to remember than a(to the power of x) * a(to the power of y) equals a(to the power of x+y)
so a(ttpo 1) * a(ttpo 2) = a(ttpo 1+2=3)

there are some very rusty cogs in my brain that are starting to turn, cant believe i'm having fun working these out. i know, i'm sad!

if youre working them out could you post them, its not coursework or anything important, its just so i dont get moved sets in maths and then come out with a worse grade.

please?

and thankyou.

If you'd like to help out a fellow blue, do you mind doing these please?

1) 2a(squared)b(times)3a(cubed)b(squared)

2) 3a(squared)b(cubed)(times)2a(cubed)b(erm, a little 4?)

3) 4a(squared)b-2ab(squared)

4) 12a(squared)(times)3b(squared)

5) 15a(squared)b(cubed)(times)3a(cubed)b
9a(cubed)b(squared)

6) 2a(squared)(times)3a(squared)

Thanks, A LOT.

It is SO well appreciated, you cant even imagen.

(btw number 5 is the top line divided by the bottom line)

Seriously, thanks to anyone that answers.

I could do it for you easily... It's really not that difficult, and if you want to pass your exam then just learn it. But you're not asking for a lesson so you can learn it, just the answers so you avoid a detention... You'll go far my boy! They'll be falling over themselves to get you signed up to the firm won't they???

Why don't you just have a go yourself... It's a process, just like the computer game levels that you no doubt learn to get through!

Oh and here's another revolutionary idea... Go ask your maths teacher to show you!

Or are you SO cool that you just can't?

Come on have a go, it won't hurt and just might be good in the long term..

Try this...

maybe, it may take some time but really it is important that you understand how to get the answers. if you were to stay in your current maths set you will get problems like these as questions in an exam.

1. 6apower5bcubed
2. 6apower5bpower7
3. ?
4. 3basquaredbsquared
5. 5asquaredbsquared
6. 6apower4

NO.

If you get moved sets it's because you need to. Algebra helps every single day, despite what most think. It's the ability to use variables and do operations on an abstract concept.

Get to work, try reading about it on the net instead of asking people on here. Nobody is going to give you a free pass in the real world, when you turn up with your fake grades.

I agree with this. Yeah it might be some shitty piece of homework but learning to do something yourself or asking the right person the questions will get you a lot further in life than copying.
