Anyone met a famous celebrity and worth a post?

Looking back quite a few, some fleeting, some proper chats and a few drinks

Karl Denver ( Singer). used to drive his big American car down our street in Hulme when I was a kid as he was shagging a woman who lived around the corner.

Graham Haberfield who played Jerry Booth in Coronation street and Winston in the dustbinmen. He used to play golf at Mere. My mate sold him some golf balls and he said he'd pay him next time he saw him. A couple of days later he died of a heart attack my mate was fuming he never got his money lol.

Drank with Kevin Kennedy ( Curly) a few times in the Barleycorn when he was a pisshead. Also saw him in Charlie Brown's and Valentines in Chorlton. On the Coronation Street theme saw Vera, Denise Welsh and her husband Tim Healy ( Dennis in Auf Wiedershen Pet) in Euston station. Dev once sat adjacent to me on the train home from Euston chatted a bit, nice bloke. Bumped into Sally and Kevin Webster in Altrincham a couple of times. Years ago my sister was chosen to appear in a documentary filmed by Peter Plummer for Granada. We were all invited to the studios to watch the rough cut before it was edited and shown on TV. Coming out we saw Pat Phoenix and my sister got her autograph.

Saw Oasis and chatted to them in the bar of the Stena Fantasia when we brought them back from France, good crack. Bill Wyman was on one of the ships too with that Mandy and her sister before the scandal broke she was underage. We also carried Michael Jackson but the security around him was unreal.

Used to drink with Tony Book a few times in Tenerife every summer in the Brahms and Lists. Got to know him and his friends very well.

Was on the piss with Ronnie Biggs in Rio 1985. Nice bloke to chat to.

I was lucky enough to be bumped up to Business Class on a B.A. flight to New Orleans a few years ago. Looked up and saw Michael Fassbender complaining because some nasty bastard on the previous flight had been trimming their finger nails and left a load of remnants all over the seat and carpet. They changed his seat for him.

A few of my mates stopped for petrol coming back from Everton years ago and out walks Richard Madeley after paying at the kiosk ( just after his Tesco shoplifting case )

" Oi, put those crisps back you thieving bastard " they shouted out of the windows.
Gutted I wasn't there to see his face.

I met Tim Booth from James in my local dentist in Salford back in the 90s. It was the day before the MCR derby and he told me he wanted City to win because United are cunts.
Maybe not those words...but to that effect.

Some years back, I went to a friend's Boxing Day party. One of his guest was Gary Kurtz, I had no idea who he was until the host told me he was producer of Star Wars, America Graffiti and many other films.
He brought with him some original props from the Star Wars set and was handing them out to a few kids.
Next day, I saw him wandering around Woolworths, basket in hand, totally anonymous. I said "Hello again" but I don't think it registered.

Once met Sir James of Saville with his grandson in a hotel in Yarkshe just of the M62.
Used to do quite a bit of work for Stuart Hall...a very decent bloke tbf, considering his mastery of the English language was second to non it was very colourful off screen.
Used to regularly work for Johnny Marr, miserable little git but his wife and FiL were great.
Used to serve Bob Grieves in the Griffin, all the local totty were hanging on his every word...fucking embarrasing.
Sue Nichols off Corry made me a lovely cup of tea once in a really quaint china cup and saucer, nice lady. Wrote me a cheque from Coutts bank.
Rented a car to Barny Sumner, had a long chat with him, he was going to his yacht in Cornwall near where I used to go on holidays, a decent bloke.
Had the pleasure of driving Dr Steele to non smoking seminar somewhere down south...I missed the turning and he was non too pleased, got him there just in time...
I had the pleasure of seeing Paul McGraths wifes bits through a very sheer piece of night attire...she knew what she was doing.
Stuart hall a very decent bloke ? He’s a paedophile ?
