Helped us to dominate the rags in midfield, the best at what he does. Are we any better for spending £50 m in the summer and selling Nige? NOPE.
When did he help us do that because it wasn't last season

I seem to remember us dominating the rags just fine without him...

We fought well in the semi but not sure Nige helped us to dominate the rags midfield. Think we only won 1 derby (cc semi) apart from that with Nige in the team?

Factually incorrect.

Against comparable games last season we are BETTER off this season.

Take your blue tinted glasses off. He was ineffective last season in Europe. He was used sparingly last season as it was more evident that he was after a move or a huge pay rise.

In the long term Garcia will be a much better player that NDJ.

I watched a bit of the Milan game at the weekend and I'm sure they're playing him further up the park. He scored by the way, in case you didn't know.

From what I've seen of him for Milan he's done well, the slower pace of the italian game suits him

He began his career as a skillful attacking midfielder. Honestly I thought he looked quite good in the 3-5-2 and was the only player who really understood what his role was. Sometimes you lose these battles. Not everyone dreams of playing for City as much as they do playing football.

Yeah, I think that the club has missed him. I couldn't understand why we sold NDJ for a pittance and bought Garcia in for big money if all Nigel wanted was a few quid extra. I'm not criticising Garcia because it's early days and he needs to settle in and get used to the Premiership but I think NDJ would have been a massive influence in the Champions League given the status of the teams we've drawn.

Did not start games last year, told in summer would be bit part, time in his career to play regularly. Won the league with him playing minimal amount of games. Went out of champions league in group stages last year when he was around
