Appalling set pieces

I have always held the opinion that an in-swinging corner gives the attacking side a better advantage. Simply because the ball is travelling in the direction of the goal and therefore the attacking players will also be moving toward the goal.

An out-swinging corner gives momentum to the defending team as the ball is travelling away from the goal and puts them on the front foot when looking to clear it.

Always thought we were piss poor from corners. Never enough pace, whip height. Silva and nasri just seem so wasteful with them and the amount of times we hit the first man is shocking! We've been better since we've been throwing players in at the near post and have scored a few this year. As much as I hate to say it Giggs was very good at this and always had my heart in my mouth when he was whipping them in.
