aquilani to city?

If not him someone surely will come in for that position.

Hargreaves left, Pizarro left. They didnt play much, but they were there if anything happens.

He's shit

Shit at Liverpool, shit at Milan, and shit whenever i've seen him for Italy too.

Basically, he's shit.

People saying hes shit haha. Clueless

He didn't fit into Liverpool style of play. Given how we play with a deep lying midfielder he'd be perfect for our squad

Im not trying to be a smart arse but if after 2 loan spells neither club wants to take him back at £5.5million surely that says something?

City have now 5 players who can fill the 2 CM spots.

Yaya, Barry, Milner, NDJ & Nasri.

I am not sure if City needs to strength this area more !

Aquilani was very good on loan at Juve and one of the best passers in Serie A, it's just that they didn't want to pay the agreed transfer fee of £14million which I can't blame them for. I haven't seen him much at Milan but they are cheap (see: Tevez saga in January) and signed a similar player Montolivo (who we could have had a look at for the regista position) on a Bosman so have no need to pay for Aquilani.

None of them can play the specialised role that Aquilani can, the same role as Pizarro (Scholes, Pirlo). We have many midfielders of a similar type but none who can play deep-lying playmaker position and spray passes all over the pitch with great accuracy. One player of this type is always great for a squad and many Champions League winning sides have had a player like this who can dictate the game from deep.

Good player, could definitely do a job for us. If we can get him that cheap, go for it.
Not all of our signings have to be 20million+ earth shattering signings.
