aquilani to city?

He'd only cost around £4,000,000 to £6,000,000 and would probably accept a role as a squad player with the challenge of working himself into the team as a first team regular. He would have a point to prove that he can do it in the premier league after an unsuccessful spell at Liverpool. A move to a side that has just won the premier league, has qualified for the Champions League and has every chance of lifting more silverwear next season must be appealing to him.

It shouldn't be a case of us appealing to him, we should be thinking about whether he could actually do a job for us. That's not arrogance btw, that's just the position we find ourselves in in comparison to Aquilani, whose career is stranded right now.

Something tells me that as much as this is a shock move, it hardly sounds surprising at all.

Probably what Mancini's meeting was about eg let us have Aqualiani and you can have first go at Tevez or something.

I really rate him and is certainly plays in a style that we don't have so for the price why not!

I doubt Mancini has said sell us aqualani, we will sell u tevez.
I thought he was only on loan there from the dippers anyways

He is on loan at AC but they have the option to buy him. So maybe Mancini proposed that AC buy him and then sell him straight to us as Liverpool will be reluctant to sell to us i think.
Like what Levante did with Caicedo.

Also why wouldn't we want to sell them Tevez. They have been hurt by missing out on the title so they need to strengthen and it is will publicised that Galliani loves him.

I think that Cirigliano kid from River Plate would be the best option. He's another Pizzaro type player but can tackle and breakup play. He's 20 years old and highly coveted, would cost around the same price as Aquilani.

I've never heard of this guy. Is he being looked at by any clubs in Europe?

We sent a scout out there to watch him play about 3 weeks ago, so I would say we're interested. There's a thread about him somewhere on this forum.

Seems a decent player.

Massive fail at LFC in his only PL stint. Wants to play in Italy. LFC would be estatic to offload him onto us.

Simply not good enough
