Misconduct in a public office ???!

It's certainly 'Public Office' and is considered the highest-ranking public official outside of the Royal Family. Maximum sentence for MiPO is life imprisonment.

The legal argument I guess in this instance is 'what constitutes misconduct'?

If the CPS believe a conviction is likely then there is no reason why a case shouldn't be brough against him, but we all know how unlikely that will be.

I heard quite a lengthy piece on radio 4 on my way home tonight, which was very sympathetic towards him & his time as AOC.
I was fuming listening to this, thinking what about the victims of the abuser that he was aware of, but did sweet FA about?!
He should be investigated & prosecuted for negligence, not eulogised about.
