Archbishop of Canterbury steps down

Should be prosecuted as a pedo enabler . ****
In Ireland bishops have a statutory duty to report sex abusers and it is a criminal offence not to do so. I don’t think we have an equivalent.
 
This is a significant point from the Makin Report that does not seem to have widely reported:

"In the statement, Mr Welby says he believed “wrongly” that an “appropriate resolution would follow” when he had first been informed of the abuse in 2013 and that police had been notified. "


 
It probably isn't a surprise to state that all organisations be they religious or institutionalised are packed to the gills with people who want to control and use their adherents as sex objects and property.

Yes, that’s why I posted the full report. Seen a lot of people say he failed to report it, that’s not what the report found. Its that he didn’t chase it up enough after being told it had been reported.

The main cover up was well before Welbys time. It’s right he resigned too though.
