Ardwick / Beswick

My nan lived on Fort Ardwick, remember going after school every friday and going to the shop and getting a packet of jammie dodgers!

Because when a W comes after a S it is usually silent, but after a D it isn't.

Why did everyone when I was young used to say Rush- em but now everyone says Rush-home?

this was to do with the local eateries. When they first appeared everyone would Rush-em, now after many years of serving shite everyone wants to Rush-home.

Hope that's cleared that up. Take note Markt85, fact of the day here.
