Are City a better all round team without Haaland?

With haaland its the debate like ronaldo.
Are united a better team with ronaldo?
I dont think so. But some might think otherwise.
I am in the camp that with harry kane city would have been a better team. With haaland, haaland is a better player. I am not sure about the team.
However If we were able to use haaland in the game against united than i think we would have given something else for united to think about. Silva and debruyne were man marked. Haaland was free roaming around but we didnt threw some direct balls to him. May be pep will have some more ideas of using haaland now. I think he is capable of playing the tiki taka way. He must be more involved thats the basic funda now.

Sadly the team has morphed into a side more concerned with risk than reward. The passing is laboured, slow and horizontal to limit the transitions. Our playing through the lines is virtually non- existent. We rarely break at speed, preferring time to allow out players to get in their zones, in case of a possible counter attack. Its a world away from the team of 2017/18, with KDB as number 8s and the wing play of Sterling and Sane or even last seasons performances against the likes of Liverpool home and away. Yes there has been some high moments this year and Haaland has created a buzz about the club but performance wise we have regressed in a lot of matches.

I honestly thought Haaland would be the finished piece to the jigsaw. If sides press us we had the option of playing the ball in behind for his pace and if we faced a low block we finally had a physical presence to cross to and a natural finisher. The early pass we rarely use and bar KDB the service from the others has been poor.

I don’t think it’s necessarily fear I think execution of their passing is such a high standard that as soon there is a drop, through fatigue, form or whatever it can possibly look like that. Maybe that hesitation is the playing at 85%, we look like we do 1st couple of games in the season.

At times we would pick teams off in the last 10, now it’s happening to us.

He's struggling badly at the minute but it's definitely not helping when not one City player is looking for him. I'm not sure why Kev can't find him any more, he's not even looking to find him, that's the worry.
Needs a couple of goals quick

Its new hipster football talk that people hear on the tv or down the pub and they think it makes them sound cool and in the know about football.

I’m reality it’s a load of bollox.

Absolutely. What happened to just giving the ball away, counter attack, ten men behind the ball and passing to the free player?

I love listening to these pricks, exposes the lot of them.

Yes I do think confidence is playing a massive part in the quality of the football but I suppose, in relation to the topic, is that further exacerbated by playing a striker rather than a false 9 (midfielder) therefore losing a bit more technical ability in the side and potentially another passing option. Around 30/35 minutes Haalamd dropped deep a few times and linked play very well, I wonder if we will see more of that over the coming months.

"Double Pivot" FFS

"inverted winger" if he's inverted how the fuck can he be a winger?

Haaland is a all or none player. If he scores goals he is the best if he doesnt he is the worst.
Disagree there, he is a threat, so the opposition always worry about him and even if he's not at his best the other players around him should be taking advantage.

That's why it's so important for Grealish, Mahrez, Alvarez and Foden to contribute with goals/assists.
