Are "superstar" players afraid to transfer to Premier League from Europe?

Are superstar players afraid to play in Premier League?
Or perhaps we elevate their superstar status because they haven't?
Could it be one of the following reasons and they understand how difficult the Premier league is hence:
  • Fear of failure
  • Tougher competition for trophies
  • Fear of being found out
  • Player stats wouldn't be so good
  • Less guarantees of silverware than in one team leagues/ farmer league
  • British weather and British way of living and language barriers
  • English clubs don't pay what they do on the continent
  • Foreign clubs are able to pay players extra money off the books.
  • The birds are hotter on the continent
Look at players who have not played (or it's suggested they won't) in Premier league who we consider superstars or future behomoths
  • Messi
  • Neymar
  • Ronaldinho
  • Ronaldo
  • KaKa
  • Figo
  • Zidane
  • Mbappe
  • Haaaland
I purposely never added names like Maradona as that is of a different era.

Has the Premier league ever been able to draw a top superstar player in prime of his ability?
KDB, Sergio, Silva and YaYa weren't considered superstars when they signed for us.
yes I included the real Ronaldo, he is from a much more recent era than the likes of Maradonna.
RagRonaldo became a superstar after he left rags, not before imho
What about Macheda,
He was a superstar no?

Ronaldo is the obvious example but he wasn't a superstar when he joined Utd - when he became one, he fucked off (a year after he actually wanted to as well!) to Real Madrid and spent nearly 10 years there instead.

It makes players who become superstars here and actually stay rather than leaving even more special IMO - Silva, Aguero, Yaya, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney, Henry - when I'm sure they had ample opportunity.

It begs the same question about English 'stars' not wanting to move abroad too aside from Beckham.
Did he not sign for Barca, arguable if his prime was at Arsenal or Barca though

Good point actually, not sure how I didn't clock that. I guess I was more thinking of 99-05 Henry when he was unplayable. Didn't do too badly at Barca mind...

they all were at the top clubs at the time,so why would they move to the premier league, as for mbappe and haaland they are just kids, and their careers are just starting,
neymar went for the money, after psg bought him for 200m , so in answer to your question ,no

Absolutely no. Let's face the truth, the only thing Players are interested is in Money

I don't think it is as simple as just saying no.
The Premier League is known as the best league globally, more so for it's competitiveness and entertainment but it's yet to lure one of the players deemed to be worlds best.
It really shows that United dominance was a bad thing for English football, they never excelled in champions league or managed to lure a superstar player despite their domestic dominance.
The yellow on the chart shows with the Spanish dominance is in the most part down to two superstars (Messi and Ronaldo)
If we can't get Kane let's land a superstar and get Haaland, he could be our superstar leading us to multiple champions league victories. History shows that if we wait we'll never get the opportunity to lure him to the league

God i'm so gutted we effed up in Porto, hurt my eyes creating this :(

Yet he never won a champions league at Arsenal, he had to leave to go to Barcelona to achieve that
