Are The Smiths a rag band or a blue band?

Smiths weren't a band that had any association with any kind of popular movements, they were the voice of the box bedroom rebel..a million miles away from the swaggering bands that football mostly coincided with at the time...

I was there and If irc, Smiths fans mainly sat in their rooms alone, crying at how unfair life was and dreaming up new ways to be miserable.

Meanwhile me and the other Duranies where off enjoying ourselves.

fuck me, surely not Duran Duran
bunch of fucking useless southern nonces with no musical taste or ability whatsoever

Used to see Johnny Marr regularly at Maine Road. I am pretty sure he sat in lower DD on many occasions. I think he still goes alot.

I dont think Morrissey could give a fuck about football apart from occasionally winding up rags in some sort of retaliation against his dad who was a big Red (and a very good footballer by all accounts). I was at the Opera House when he played You'll Never Walk Alone, don't think he'd have done that if he was a rag!
