Well said. I find the constant agenda themes boring. The press will always look for an angle, it won't always be complimentary. Who cares.
 
Look, they deal in extremes. A boring narrative is of no benefit to the media, so they'll either over hype us or heighten our failings, depending on which one gets more eyes on them.

It's funny, because the biggest anti media flappers on here are the first to jump on here and go "look what they said" and divert clicks their way, effectively doing their job for them.

Right now, I think the media are having a hard time understanding how Pep has done this, so they build it up to look intelligent by association. But they'll turn on us fast if an opportunity strikes.

But right now they have 2 stories, "unrest at Rags" and "beautiful City" and of course they'd love nothing more than to swap those narratives if form allows.
 
We are winning the over with the most beautiful football in the history in Premier League.
They can't help but admire us.
Yes we may have the odd blip going forwards but there is little sign of it atm. Losing the odd game won't alter the fact we are easily the most attractive football team out there and the players coming in will only improve us.
Quite simply the best football in my 48 yrs as a City fan.

Oh i do believe there was some bias against City. I think such a bias of media for certain teams might exist due to shared interrests in various ways just as it exists for political party's. The owner(s) of a media station might simply have a preference or even have interrests with certain teams. Sponsors of certain teams might also contribute a lot to the advertisment income of a media station and so might ask to be more favourable in reporting about the team they sponsor. Such arrangements might exist in the sport in many varied ways due to tradition, whereas when it comes to City you could say it's kinda the new player on the block that is perhaps less established in this regard. If the media gets paid extra to favour a team in a not too conspicious way, why shouldn't it be in their interrest?

I do agree that the media in general looks for the best story, but bias stemming from outside influence and interrests is not unseen neither, though the media can also easily adapt to a changing situation, they have a certain measured opportunism.
 
So Pep has equalled Ancelotti's record of straight wins. We have scored more than any other team and easily have the best goal difference. We have got an unbeaten record in double figures. So I then look on the BBC, Daily Fail, Daily Mirror for the headline news that we rightly deserve only to be served up a plethora of headline news about Utd and Liverpool. Oh how the media is hurting, it's cutting them deep to the bones, you can almost hear the sound of them sobbing into their laptops as they type about 'turning corners' and 'klopps army' this and that. Well media bods everywhere, drink it in because you're going to have to get used to it. The future is blue, the future is City and we're loving your pain.

Stop moaning there is only 21 different rag. Articles at the moment in the daily mail 21ffs
 
So have sky sports moved the goalposts again regarding game of the day? They used to show the game with the most goals up until the middle of last season and then the rags won a couple of games 1-0 and that got priority. Then it went to whoever was top of the league and it stuck. And guess what? This year it's back to the game with the most goals. Polaroid moi? Never!!
