are we asset stripping?

City’s new boss Manuel Pellegrini managed Real Madrid in their 2009-2010 campaign and Gonzalo Higuain was his favorite striker.

The Los Blancos star made 32 league appearances that season and contributed directly in 32 goals, which included 27 goals and 5 assists. Not only that, Higuain topped their goal scoring charts and outscored star player and record signing Cristiano Ronaldo who could manage 26 league goals that season.

Fair to say, Pellegrini’s influence may as well turn the deal in City’s favor. Again, that is if he wants him

Very gold shout.

-- Wed Jun 26, 2013 11:03 am --

Back to thread and my thoughts about asset stripping

I'm waiting in Mansour and Khaldoon to turn up in a transit van with some circular saws and jigs. I can see the stripping all the cable out of the etihad. Maybe take a box of crisps and pies too. Couple of bottles out the drinks fridges behind the bar.

"Khaldoon, where's the fucking Balti Pies?"
"But you're not meant to eat them!"
"Fuck the veggie pastie, that's when times are hard and the others have sold out and it's freezing, get with it Khal ffs."

Assist striping, that'll explain why an healthily looking cat suddenly dropped dead on the car park.

Hahaha.

It also explains the disabled seating row ,) if give you the full wink but time at City are that hard we can't afford the glass right eye. Fucking ffp!

Things may look different in September.

However, going back to your title season to this point, it seems you lot are steadily 1. losing firepower and that 2. Your depth is getting worse.

Mancini had the right idea in Sinclair, Rodwell, Garcia and Maicon though. The positions were correct, the players themselves just didn't pan out I guess.

Hope you make a proper signing or two, we need you to turn in the screws on the RedMancs, and would rather that we didn't see those insipid Chelski consolidate themselves at the top instead.

As much as I like you're general WUMing there is an element in truth in what you're saying. For the life of me I do not understand how we can spunk £30mil on a player that we didn't really need and is unproven.

Didn't need ? Unproven? Don't think so

Just remind me again how many Brazilian caps he has?

What league he's been playing ?

And at 28 why has hardly anybody heard of him until last season?

-- Wed Jun 26, 2013 12:17 pm --

don't agree mike.

we were desperate for this type of player LAST season when we gave nige away for peanuts. so he cost 30m (or whatever) if you pay 17 you get a Garcia level and not being unkind to the lad but he was nowhere near ready for the prem.
he is very proven in my book.

IMHO Garcia will prove his worth this season along with Jack Rodwell providing he stays injury free. The very simple fact is Bill lost the league because we struggled to find the back of the net. Fenandinho does not have a pedigree for finding the back of the net he's pretty much on par with Nige in that department.

Mike he's specifically moved to try and get more caps. He hasn't because of the league he played in. Same as Willian

He's much better than De Jong, you'll soon see that for yourself next season.

Many people are ignorant to Donetsk. They've always been a hotbed for Brazilians as they have easier work permits to gain and offer great wages. They had Willian and Fernandinho, they also have Douglas Costa who the rags chased for ages.
