I find it difficult to agree with the notion people feel uneasy. We have assembled the best squad we have ever had and we are clearly still in the market (would you feel uneasy if the Isco pendulum had swung the right way?) - you can argue that we are letting a few players go, but that's bound to happen when we have assembled a squad with as much quality as we have. You look at each transfer individually and there isn't one that stinks of trying to squeeze out the pennies.

De Jong was hounded for being limited (now we have fernandinho), Johnson was hounded for being inconsistent (now we have Navas), Tevez has been a long running saga and has 1 year left (and we are evidently in the market for a striker), the only one that is arguable is Balo, who caused mixed views all around. What do you guys who are worried really want to see, £100m splash out every window?

Don't think anybody does, however we have missed all our major targets over the last two years if Isco & Cavani are not coming. last year we lost the league title as we missed out on VP and Hazard. You cannot have a target of winning the champions league if you miss out on your transfer targets every season. We have to move players out as they have shown they are not good enough to win European trophies. We have to replace with better until you have the best squad if you seriously want to win the Champions league.

Its needed IMO, the players who aren't necessarily dead wood but are not in the plans for the future.

They will be replaced and the squad will be streamlined so there is a quality first 11 and a strong bench and a good influx of youth players.
